Hello everyone, I'm looking for some advice on changing the grommets on my 100zz, and I'll admit I'm quite new to this. I'm considering getting Li-Ning grommets since I've heard they're good quality replacements. Currently, I can only find the round ones available, but if you guys think the square ones are better, I'll continue my search. As I looked at the Li-Ning grommets, I noticed they only have the single and shared grommets. They don't seem to have T-joint grommets. Do I need to order those separately, or are T-joint grommets generally not replaced? I also came across a specific third-party 100zz grommet set with an 8-hole strip at the top (I've attached an image). This set also lacks T-joint grommets. Any thoughts on whether this might be a better choice? Or should I simply order the PowerTi Grommets, which seem to come complete with tools and have both standard and deluxe versions? I'm open to your suggestions and any guidance you can provide. Thanks in advance! Sent from my RMX3363 using Tapatalk
https://mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=3242 this assorted box is a really good option
If you could purchase these Li ning ones, they are really thick and durable. Usually you get some spares when purchasing a li ning racket, otherwise they are only found on the rackets. The Li ning grommet boxes aren't the same as shown in my pictures. T-joint U grommets rarely need to be replaced. But if you want the similar Yonex transparent flush ones that now come on higher end astrox's and Nanoflares you may have to buy a yonex specific set.
The racket pictures attached is it one racket. And is it 100zz? The upper half is cubic grommets and the lower half is round grommets? One reply above said that lining single pass grommets (im assuming the round ones) dont fit. Currently i can only order the round ones. I am waiting for the restock of the cubic grommets. Yonex doesnt use cubic grommets….. I will recommend you this box again https://mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=3242 It has t-joint u grommets, different sizes of shared grommets and different sizes of single pass grommets.
1 racket Victor Meteor X80. The picture with the red square grommet were at the 11oclock or 1oclock position. The round grommets showing the two different li ning versions were at the top of the racket head, can't really use the square grommet because of the muscle power groove frame. basically the entire racket is all red square grommets that not shown except for the mention round grommets and T-joint u grommets. The shared hole ones are pretty easy for both round and square. But the single pass sometimes you really gotta push them in, you can use the grommet rotating thing to help, or me I just put a cloth to protect the area and push down on a stable surface. Like I said earlier if you can get those exact li ning ones you pictured. I would use those over the square grommets because if your rotating you can technically use it 2 to 4 times with rotations. They are so thick and durable as well. Pictured 88S below. The holes were noticeably tighter, but the red square grommets just look so good.
