non chn teams need to establish solid consistent results equal to chn for at least a 4 year olympic cycle.

what would the circuit look like right now if china quit, and took all of the tournament sponsorship dollars they draw in with them?
and what about the number of chinese badminton fans that would disappear?

    Inconsistent. That's TTY.

By playing very fast against TTY, you can limit her deceptiveness, giving her less time to try her trick shots

Marin is like LD of 8 to 10 years ago; when push comes to shove, Marin and LD can easily shift to higher gears to deliver.

TTY leading 8-5 now but Marin should be able to caught with TTY in a few rallies.

IDK why you keep comparing her with LD.

they are both left handed; they are both emotionally and physically strongest (at their respective primes); they can both easily shift to higher gears at critical moment.

Marin is one of the few players who can read TTY's game, the other one is Intanon. But being able to read her game doesn't mean you can definitely beat her, just less susceptible to her deceptive shots. (Even the young, intelligent Chen Yufei is slowly beginning to get the hang of it but not there yet).

Right, I haven't come across any WS who can compare with Lin Dan yet. I once thought it could be Li Xuerui but when she choked at the individual majors, I realized no, not her as mental toughness is also one of LD's defining characteristics.

Yup. You are comparing LD of yesteryears. LD is past his prime. CM is the current deal.

    exactly.

whenever somebody's fave wins a title they talk like their fave can win every match afterwards.

You're degrading him by comparing him with her a female player who hasn't achieve enough. 10 yrs ago LD already won everything. Can't say the same about CM.

A useless yet costly sport to engage... I wish China to abandon all these Formula waste shows [unless they aim for some great financial profits that I may not have seen]
