This is probably why sports direct reduced the price of the PT V1.0 to £50,

My Razor 1.1 has just arrived today, bought from tennisnuts

There is 1 thing it disappointed me by little bit is.. the built quality.
If you look closely to the paint, it looks a bit like.... unfinished. If u look at the side of the racket (as shown on the picture). The black paint is just.... (Dont know how to describe it)

Allow me to say this but It looks a bit like a fake Yonex standard. I had a moment thinking... is this a fake racket? (As I never bought anything from tennisnuts nor I know much abt this company)

None of the less, cant wait to try it tomorrow!

yep, no more at sportsdirect.. and also, if you modify the string pattern accordingly, the 11th main string can be weaved in correctly. Mine came strung wrong i guess.
See picture below and follow the same stringing pattern.

all 3 of my prototypes are not as well finished as any of my YY rackets.
But all three weigh in the same and are balanced the same and all play very nicely.

also isnt the V1.1 much cheaper at sportsdirect?

I know what you mean - the black around the sides isn't solid black - more of a marbled black. I have the V1.2 and it is a great feeling racket, very quick and controlled. I have only used it for an hour but thinking it is slightly too light headed for me so might get the V1.0. Let me know if you want to try the 1.2 and maybe we could do a deal )

Without having seen one in the flesh, you might find that the 'marbled' black is actually raw carbon fiber with clear over.

thats what it looks like. raw carbon fiber.
its other things that contribute to make it look less finished that YY rackets. Eg paint quality.
Its by no stretch of the imagination bad! ( i bought another 2 after i bought my first one..) And it is durable, just that a YY racket seems to impart the feel of better build quality.

Yeah think your right Maklike - I think the 1.2 looks really nice though even with this effect. Haven't seen the other two yet.

Raw finish is awesome. If you've seen the Victor MX80 you know exactly what I mean.

Has someone played with the Carlton Vapor Trail Tour and the Razor 1.0? If so, can you give me a short review of the differences. I broke my VTT and consider to switch to the Razor 'cause I miss the extra piece of power and some stiffness at the Tour. Not an big issue but if the Razor delivers it I will move to it. The quickness of the Tour is its biggest plus.

Retails for around $160 CDN. Plays very nice, and is simple to string once you do once or twice. Now called Razor V1.0.

Yeah I know that the Razor 1.0 is basicly an improved Prototype 1.0. I just can not find a comparison with the Tour. I love the VTT but I has its small flaws. I can see the Razor filling that holes but I just want to get some meanings on them before I order it for testing ;)
