    Hi everybody !

I currently play with a BS10 (DE coded) which is a wonderful racket (perfect balance and stiffness) in both single and double. But now, this racket is discontinued, so I'm looking for a successor :)

A short resume of my background : I'm an intermediate player who plays mostly in single and men doubles. My play style is attack-oriented, not hard smasher but more patient, and more technical than physical.

I've selected some rackets which, I think, can be suitable :

    NR Z-Speed
    MX80
    MX90
    JS 8 SP

Please could you compare these rackets with my beloved BS10 :) ?

Another question : I heard TW or HK coded BS10 are less stiff and head lighter than DE coded BS10. Could you confirm that fact ?

    Thanks for your answers

Only the TW coded BS10 is less stiff at 4/5 stiffness. No difference in balance aside from typical manufacturing variation. Your best bet for a replacement that's a tad slower and more powerful is the MX80

If you like BS10, don't go for NR Z-Speed. It's flex.

i'm also looking for a replacement at some point as my BS10 is looking a bit battered, if they're remaking it that'd be terrific!

Yes I think so. And bs09. Can't remember where I saw it though.

Ahh yes the BS09N came out a while ago. It only got a new paintjob. Orange....ehhh Same specs though.

I've never seen anything about a BS10N though. Tell me if you find where you saw it :)

Btw BS12 = BS09? They seem like the exact same rackets. LYD loved BS09 and victor came up with the BS12 for him to play with. Is this just a victor marketing strategy?

No. They're two different animals. They may have the same spec but they do play a bit differently. This is due to the different moulds. The BS09 has a smaller head, shorter handle and a longer shaft than the BS12. This makes it whippier and IMO the head just lags a touch more than the BS12 as well.

    Thanks for your replies :)
I have just another question : which racket, between MX80 and BS10, is the less exhausting ?

    Ok thanks :)
And between the JS 8 SP and the BS10 ?
Looking at technical specifications, they seem very similar..

i tried both bs 10 and mx80 before...mx80 is definitely more demanding than bs10. however, u mentioned that your play is more of technical than physical, i don't think it's gonna be a problem for u using mx80 at all.

attacking wise i'd say mx80 provides more punch than bs 10, although overall you'll need more power and technique using the mx80 due to it's more head heavy nature and super stiffness (even stiffer than bs10)

It won't be DE coded, but you can find some BS10 (on sale) at Chris Aw's shop
