For those living on the BC west coast, a reminder to boil your water for at least 1 minute before consumption. You'll have noticed how turbid (cloudy) our water has become because of all the recent rain. The increased turbidity levels (up to 80 times normal at one of the resevoirs) could mean higher bacteria count in the water. Health Canada has advised boiled water not only for drinking, but for washing vegs and even for brushing your teeth (if you don't brush teeth, please disregard
). The other option is of course bottled water. Plus I'm not sure how clean you'll be from showering after an evening of sweat-drenching badminton. Hope nobody catches anything nasty.
