Bintang 5 - Rumors? Another badminton gym in Milpitas?

Replacement rumor is it true or its going to be another Bintang-5?
Based on current crowd's(open gym + trainings) at all Bintang's they will need Bintang5. Sunnyvale/Campbell's are very crowded. Hopefully with Bintang-5 coming up it will ease up the crowd and we all can spend more time on court than waiting at mercy of the QUEUE SYSTEMS!!

Could this be a replacement of the Sunnyvale facility???

make no sense for it to be replacement of sunnyvale. leases are usually 5 or 10 yrs. bintang sunnyvale opened in 2004, ie. 6 yrs into the lease.

..i brought up this idea a while back when Bintang opened up a club north of the Bay area. I was thinking since your region lacks any FT baddy club, maybe one of the bigger clubs could open a club somewhere in the (Northern side of SF Bay area) Sacramento-Davis area, and with literally zero competitions.
Eventhough there might not be a lot of badminton enthusiasts in that region. Maybe open a mid-size club with no more than 10-12 courts or less??..

..i thought the more competitions there are, the cheaper the prices would be??..or i was thinking, maybe all of the clubs in that area should pool-up and make 1 big entity so everyone will have equal access to all the clubs for the same price. And each club will share the same amt of profit...you know, just like the philosophy of the current U.S. govt...:p:confused:;)
I agree with the Northern Bay Area suggestion.
Since the Santa Rosa Asian population has increased dramatically over these past 4 years. Also, I have quite a few colleagues who played in their badminton teams in Petaluma high schools. Yes, all of those of my colleagues are white/Caucasians and they enjoyed playing badminton!
There is a Santa Rosa badminton team that plays once a week, in a high school community open gym. If anyone remembers, they had a club match with the old GGBC team.
Heres their website: http://www.worldbadminton.com/srbc/

and here it is, the ball is rolling:

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. UP10-0006 AND ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT NO. EA10-0002: A request to locate a 35,930 sq ft badminton facility within an existing multi-tenant industrial building located at 746 So. Milpitas Blvd. (APN: 086-30-063) zoned Heavy Industrial with Site and Architectural Overlay (M2-S). Applicant: Bintang Academy.

35,930 sq ft means approximately 20 courts depending on density and layout pattern.

i do hope that it will be fewer courts with more space than more courts all cramped together. with the increasing number of club so close together now, the quality of service is more important than quantity. i really like the Bintang Campbell layout as it provides a lot of sitting space right next to the court, friends can hang out and chat instead of all sardined together into one sitting area.

good to see another Bintang Club coming across at Milpitas.. now with one more club in this area is going to reduce the over-crowding of badminton courts and lay grounds for future growth...
Anxiously waiting for the opening day..

is it overcrowded right now? i heard that BBC3 is not crowded during weekdays.

I talked to the owner of BBC and he tells me that BBC3 has plenty of empty courts. I can let you know as I am driving down tomorrow to play all afternoon. But for sure Bintang is busy this summer as they've been having camps.

i was told that BBC3 got crowded after Halim started coaching there.

Bintang tends to attract more HS players so they do get crowded during summer break.

Monday and Wednesdays at BBC3 are very crowded with the Smash City Elite Dragons and the DnG group playing there. After 7 PM on Monday and Wednesday nights, it is very hard to get a court, and especially hard to challenge since the only challenge court there is reserved for the Dragons and DnG group.

Not Sure about bbc3 , maybe it could be less crowded with many more clubs opening in short area.
and I guess i play at peak time(6-7:30PM) hence i see few clubs a bit crowded :-)

Neither the Dragons nor the DnG have any courts reserved. Anyone can challenge those courts if they wish.
