Well, offer him to let you restring his racket just for once, for free. Once you're home and you can hear thunder, but there's no lightning. That's probably the sound coming from the hall, a few miles away.

    lol.

can already see the entire city opening windows and lookign what that sound was. and reactions like: "is iraq bombing us?"
"where did the meteorite crash?" \
"Oh god, what ahs my son done this time?"
"what ever that was, I didn't do it!"

He strings his own though, and I don't really see him that much, I guess he trains at different hours...but if I see him I'll ask:D

funny thing is, he not built like a tank. he's just 1.70, and actually quite wire-like...

I had just upgraded the string tension on my Cab 20L with Bg-65Ti at 22lbs. First, nothing... The strings felt like they was made of wood.
Half an hour later... even the players on the adjacent court were startled by the sound of the strings. Every smash sounded like a rifle shot.
Then again, the hall we were playing in was a small one, only big enough for two courts and the small enclosure probably also contributed to the magnification of the sound. That was four months ago.

Personally, I think BG66 at around 23/24 lbs makes the loudest noise but it lasts only for couple of sessions....
The next best sounding string would be BG80..

I am not a hard hitter at all; I am a touch player; but still BG66 loses its tension real fast compared to BG85 or BG80.

25lbs is probably too big of jump depending on what string it is.

If you hang a bell on your racquet, you will hear ding! ding! ding!. Not dink dink dink...) In my personal opinion, the best sounding string is the one that wins most matchs and points for me. The one that come with a pumping fist and "YES!"

BG66 last a month?! No way man, BG66 breaks very fast in cold weather. I've had BG66 break in 5, 10, 5 and 20 minutes recently, all newly strung. Just too cold to use.

Well lets put it this way. My friend who uses BG-66 which lasts up to like 2 - 3 months until he decides to cut the string because it looks like it is breaking, or the string actually breaks.

I wish BG66 would last more than 5 days for me. Then, I may just use it all the time. :p

Have you tried at least the 7 days after strining to see how the string does?
