Hi all. Just wondering if all the places mentioned in this thread still applies now? Some were posted last year so just wanna make sure. Looking for ppl to play with. Anyone? When, what time?
Yup, all the places are still available...go down glenunga or prince alfred for a hit I'm actually thinking of setting up my own baddy session here in Adelaide, but unfortunately I didn't manage to get about hiring the whole gym for myself...any suggestions?
So Kuan84 you playing tonight at Glenunga? Shuttlecocks supplied or wat? I think it's a good idea to get a group and hire few courts. But i've tried hiring courts for futsal before and it is really hard especially weekdays!! Some are even booked weeks in advance. I think best bet would be down at Lockleys during weekends...if you book in advance.
hey extradry, yeap i'll be there tonight for a sweat...shuttle's provided (plastic tho) @2 bucks, starts @ 7.30 and goes on till 10.30pm. Give me a yell if you see me (asian, spikey hair, glasses, with a bunch of crazy friends)...would be great gathering more ppl for baddy next time if i managed to get courts for baddy. C u there to9
Hi Kuan84, yea finally found ppl to play with!! sounds sad huh? haha. i was late though, only got there at 9. but anyways, good session although a bit tired, been a while since i last played. need more games. i spoke to Ken the guy in charge and he mentioned theres another session on sunday from 2-5.30? do you know if it's run the same as tonight?
hi extradry, Good to hear that. Me and a few friends are hosting our own session down @ westminster high (Alison Avenue, Marion) this saturday 6.30-9.30pm. Would you be interested in joining? We had 26 ppl on 4 courts last week, 6bucks feathers provided. Will extend bookings to 8 courts depending on the turn-up rate. Regards, Kuan

Goodday everyone... I live in Mile End and lately just got back to Badminton Just wondering that, anything changed from the last post? Would like to get more opportunity to play/practice. I play @ Cedar College 2-4pm Sunday $6 per entry Feather Shuttle provided. I also been to YMCA Kensington too. Cheers
Check the BadmintonSA link in Kuan's last post to get the up to date version. There's also Glenelg on Monday nights and Sunday mornings at Lockleys (probably the closest to you at Mile End). The PAOC club isn't playing at Prince Alfred College this year, due to renovations there; instead they're at Norwood Morialta High School on The Parade. They should be back at PAC next year, it's a much more convenient location.
I think Marryatville is having some renovations at the moment and it won't be done for a few months. In regards to Glenunga, Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays are still open but can get a little busy.. We have a facebook page for those nights we run badminton there and you can contact us there at anytime.
Hi, I live around the eastern suburbs and am looking for partner/s or a group to play with - let me know if you can help on my email (ajohn_4299@yahoo.com) or through a reply to this message.
I would avoid putting your email on a public forum. Unless you don't mind extra spam emails coming into your mailbox. Anyway, just come to Glenunga High school on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday nights for plastic shuttles. We start at 7.30pm. It can get busy but with exams around the corner it should be quiet these couple of weeks. We usually match people with the same ability so all levels are welcomed. Tuesday night at Glenunga is feather shuttles but a different group/people organise that.
The facebook page for the Glenunga group is here. It has information about our sessions and videos of some of our members playing. http://www.facebook.com/groups/210810337646/
cool... thanks for the update. I heard Glenunga Group before but never been one. Should pay a visit soon
We are down to 4 courts at the moment due to school renovations but we had warned all our members about it on facebook. Numbers have been just about right for the last couple of nights..
Hi there, I am pretty much a beginner, and been playing with friends every week for the past 3 months. My skill is improving bit by bit but I don't think I have the proper technique/footwork. Pretty sure they way I smash is not correct too. So, I am thinking to get serious on improving my skill. I am thinking of hiring a coach. Does anyone know where I can find a Badminton Coach in Adelaide? Thanks
Send me a PM and I'll get someone to contact you about training. Alternatively, post a message on our Glenunga social badminton club facebook site and one of our members will get back to you. I think there are training sessions on the weekend at Lockleys near the airport.
It's hard to find a coach in Adelaide if you're not a junior. I think both Sturt and Glenelg badminton clubs offer coaching/training sessions. But they don't advertise the times, because they don't want it to get too crowded. You need to join one of the clubs and then ask around.
