This is qualifying tournament for Thomas and Uber Cup: http://www.allenglandbadminton.com/all-england-stars-set-for-delhi/
For Europe, they have European Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships instead.. http://events.badmintoneurope.com/cms/?&pageid=5803 For 2016, it will be held in Kazan, Russia.
I think it's very strange that so many teams have named only half teams. I can see one or two inputting their entries piecemeal but Malaysia, Korea, India, and Thailand have all entered teams of four players each, or five in the case of India's men.
No no that's not what I think!! Actually Chen Yufei and even HBJ are improving tremendously.. +AY and MM are of colour (except MM vs SN match Minatsu hasn't done much).. But if you consider only the current form its heavily probable that Nozomi will def WSX.. However, WSX is mentally vehement + this is her chance to RIO she won't give anything less than her best
This Thai Women team looks so week.. No NJ(Nichaon), PB(Porntip), sapsiree, Conchuwong, Kunchala They have few new names.. Is this the confirmed entry?
Thai team only has 3 men and 4 women? Obviously not the complete roster. Unless all the 3 WS has to play WD also and 1 Thai lady will also play in the men team as the 2nd MD.
Mind to clarify why you make this assumption? Did you heard from rumour or purely based on your own gut feeling?
Based on their line-up, Japan have the greatest chance to win Uber Cup in May'16, but for their men's line-up MS2 & MS3 are their weakest link.
Online news from Malaysia tabloid, LCW and other Olympic-bound shuttlers like Goh V-Shem and Tan Wee Kiong might not feature in Asia Team Championships & Thomas Cup. http://www.thestar.com.my/sport/badminton/2016/01/14/no-way-for-chong-wei-in-hyderabad/ http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/...opardise-thomas-cup-chances-says-rashid-sidek

Hehe yeah... I am not sure about the Thai ladies but if required Chen Yufei, YU Yang, HBJ and Li Han can play in the men team without recognition..
BAM has just announced the squad. MS: Zulfadli Zulkiffli, Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin, Soo Teck Zhi and Soong Joo Ven. MD: Tan Kian Meng-Low Juan Shen, Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi and Tan Chee Tean-Tan Wee Gieen. WS: Tee Jing Yi, Ho Yen Mei, Goh Jin Wei, Lee Ying Ying WD: Woon Khe Wei-Vivian Hoo, Amelia Anscelly-Soong Fie Cho and Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean to play. http://www.thestar.com.my/sport/badminton/2016/01/15/bam-name-thomas-cup-squad/
The Finals, to be held in Kunshan, China, from May 15-22, will feature 16 teams – hosts China; defending champions Japan; four from Asia; four from Europe; one each from Africa, Oceania and Pan-America; and three more based on their world ranking. And Malaysia should have no problems qualifying based on their world No. 6 team ranking – courtesy of Chong Wei and the men’s pairs of Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong (No. 15) and Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong (No. 18). The other teams ranked ahead of Malaysia are China, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and Denmark. no worry..Malaysia can still qualify eventhough not in top 4 position for qualifying..
None of them is in the MAS squad. But I think they will have no problem for qualifying, if totally 6 Asian countries are in.
