Peter is looking strong again. However, it's the major matches that really put the pressure on that test him. I shall be looking forward to how he handles the World Championships. The most interesting result is absence of the Indonesian men's doubles. It looks like some people in PBSI really want to team up Sigit with Wijaya again. And Gunawen teams up with Halim. Maybe they feel Gunawen/Wijiya partnership cannot consistently beat the Koreans and so have gone back to the original partnerships.
Who is Candra Wijaya's and Tony Gunawan's original partners? And who is Ricky Subagja teaming up with now?
According to Candra Wijaya, *unless he's lying =)* he and Tony were split up coz they didn't have time to train together for the Korean Open. Coz Tony wanted to attend the Copenhagen Masters and Candra wanted to go home for Christmas. I read a couple of interviews with them. They were still talking about aiming for the World Championships and regaining the All-England, so I s'ppose there aren't any concrete plans to split them up. At least I hope not.
That doesn't make sense. They have still spent more time playing with each other than being with the other partners in the recent year. And Sigit/Halim have been playing together for a while (except in Thomas cup).
Hmmm.... I guess you've got something there. But hey, that was straight from the horse's mouth so how would I know? Maybe Wijaya didn't wanna say anything that would be offensive? I'm not sure, but I hope I can continue to see them play together.
It matters to me, coz Tony and Candra is one of my fav pairs. Anyway, they're splitting up and returning to their original partners.
