Hi guys! I'm looking for a doubles racket that is more front court orientated but still packs a punch when required like the AX88s 3U but besides the 88s, what are the other rackets i should look into from other brands? Li-ning? Mizuno? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!
Im no fans of speed racket & im back court player, so not much i can say for it except from paper spec & others review. Anyway not long ago i try my friend NF700. Easy manouver & good power for mid court smash tho not quite satisfying for back court full smash. But for a speed frame racket, it give quite good feeling upon hitting.
N7ii is known for its front court!! We have more fans here for N7ii. It definitely have good punch when u want it or when u quickly go behind the shuttle be it front court or back court. Mizuno JPX CX also a choice but I would say to stay with N7ii as N7ii is mountain times better than JPX CX.. due to the fact that once u get used to mizuno JPX series it’s hard to cope with other rackets because ur not taming the racket but mizuno racket tames’ u .. N9II is primary back court and occasional front court in my opinion. If ur open to other brands, I would request u to try the Kawasaki king k9 or Kawasaki honor s6/s7 - amazing rackets and it’s so live on the court. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
N7ii. I have both 88s and N7ii. Although my 88s is in 4u, i managed to try 3u version, and both of them are pretty close together, except 88s being stiffer compared to N7ii. Another slight difference is probably on the hitting feel. Yonex rackets are famous for their solid feel. I don't know how to describe it, but when i use N7ii, there is a hollow feel when I hit full smashes. I am not sure whether it is just me, or because those 2 rackets have totally different frame profile. So far i feel N7ii is one of the closest to 88s in terms of playability.
I have the 88s but 'for fun' I recently tried an Ashaway X-Speed II (note there's also a normal X-Speed which isn't the same) and really liked it, it's fast but still has decent power from the back. https://goode-sport.co.uk/buy/phantom-x-speed-ii/ Not sure about price/availability where you are though. (you can get it under £100 in the UK)
