How popular is this racquet around you in your games?

I had a session of games today and during one of the games, four of us used the 88D Pro

Uh... you know something is right when everybody use it. Couple days ago when i watch MS final swiss open livestream, apparently k.watanabe also use this racket.. popularity wise probably the ratio is 1 people yy 88sp/victor tkfe : 3 people 88dp

Its popular because of former number 1, the minions, marcus gideon and kevin sanjaya (88sp)

But for me this racket is overrated lol...

I agree I tried my friends 88D pro, and I didn't find anything special about it. It just felt like another head heavy racket.

88D Pro is the most common racket in my group right now, at least 4-5 players are using it.

    It doesn't suit me though

I see a lot more 88sp. Except from me in my club, I have seen one other guy with 88dp and one with 88d red/green.

    I have just switched 3 of my 100zzs, 1 Victor Thruster F- enhanced, 1 Mizuno 10 Quick to just 2 88D Pros.

Whilst it doesn't have the power or feel of the 100zz, they do have enough of those qualities with a massive dollop of playability and ease of use to make the game more fun and enjoyable. Whereas I could get a 95% better shots on a good day, whilst struggling with just 75% on a bad day with the 100zz, with the 88D Pro, I would maintain that 80-90% shot quality regardless.

I think the reason so many people like it is the predictability of the racket. The smashes are great, and if you are strong enough, the racket becomes plenty fast despite it being head heavy. It comes with a standard isometric head so the user doesn't need to adapt to a compact head. Heck I am even starting to like the paintjob.
