    Yes! Tommy Sugiarto defeated Boonsak Ponsana 21-19 19-21 21-9. If we talk about stamina and physical aspect, we can trust Tommy :D

    Next up on Court 3, Raj Veeran/Renuga Veeran [7] vs. Shintaro Ikeda/Reiko Shioda [3]. The Japanese pair is ranked 20th in the world, while the only local representatives left in the tournament are ranked 84th.

    I'm really happy for Tommy, but I'm gonna have to root for Uncle Wong in the Semifinals :D:D

    What an amazing finale for Tommy Sugiarto as he won 9 pts in a row to qualify for the SF of the Australia Open GPG. This will represent his best result so far in a GPG level tourney, not to mention beating a top-10 player (Boonsak is ranked no 6, even above Simon and Chen Jin! He will now face the veteran MAS player Wong Choong Hann [9]. I think Tommy has a good chance of reaching the Final. Let's take it one step at a time first.

    Next on Court 1, Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata [1] vs. Liang Jui Wei/Liao Kuan Hao. The Japanese pair is ranked 10th in the world, while the TPE pair is ranked 284th.

    MAS and INA are by far my favorite badminton countries, but I like MAS a bit more, I don't know why :D

    I hope Indonesians won't hate me now :eek:

    Yes. He is consistently reliable. He is able to defeat any #3 MS, except CHN probably.
