My partner and I were practicing some net swipe kills. Later other club players have commented on the footage that my partner's racquet is crossing the net while doing kill shot, or that the shuttle has not come to his side of court yet.

As an umpire what would you call it? I paused video at crucial points and think the shuttle was always on the left side of the net, during impact. 1-2 kills were faulty though due to the racket hitting the net.

If the racquet crosses the net during the swing, upon hitting the shuttle when it is on the side the hitting player is on, then it is not a fault. If they were to kill when the shuttle has yet to cross the net, then it would be a fault.

From the video, I did not see the shuttle killed when it had yet to cross the net.

The racquet can cross the net after hitting the shuttle on the follow through.
