I myself am ambidextrous, but I started playing with my right hand at first, which is weird since I play all other racket sports with my left. I do describe my right as more dominant though. Are there any pro players that play with their left hand even though they’re right handed? How about the user in the forum? Do any of you do this? Thanks to anyone that responds.

I did due to a serious injury on my right arm. It's hard, but doable.

Lefties are usually and very commonly taught at a very young age by their parents and teachers to write with the right hand simply because to avoid ink smearing otherwise.

I can say first hand that this is true. I use my left hand to eat but can use both of my hand to write, but when I was younger my grandparents used to force me to eat and write with my right hand.

Japan World No.1 Kenta Momota, China double Fu Hai Feng. The opening video in all BWF highlight shows a silhouette of a lefty smashing (that's Fu Hai Feng). Lefty has slight advantage, as most recreational players don't usually realise they are playing against a lefty until mid-game. The con is that you need to be careful when you partner a right handed in double, chance of broken racket is higher ;)

Lol... also because most Chinese families eat together at a round table, which means whoever rightie sits to the left of a leftie holding their chopsticks will have a chopstick fight all throughout dinner...
