Same place where I bought my old AMP88 and I believe same place as you, zhensheng from LY forums. RM225 with bag and without string and grip.

The Tantrum Shot 858 bought from AJ Sports, Bandar Puteri Puchong as I was stringing and gripping the AMP90 there. Got to look at the new Apacs 2008 catalogue also.:D

Dinkalot, did you notice much of a difference between the amp88 and amp90? i tried out the amp88 and amp95 but found the amp95 a bit too head heavy for me. right now, i am enjoying the amp88 but was wondering about the amp90. apacscanada didn't have the amp90 in stock when i went to demo the racquets =(

anyways, i heard that the amp90 has a slim shaft and frame? is it much more slim than the amp88 and are there differences in the feel of the racquet? ie, more aerodynamic feel/faster swing, more flex?

You need to re-read some of the posts above. :p

For me, they were all about the same. But that's similar weighted rackets.

In general I believe the 88 will be a bit lighter than than the 90 and 95. If comparing typical rackets based on APACS' specs, say an 86-87g AMP88, 87-88g AMP90, and 89-90g AM95, yes, they will be a bit different, each one being a bit more demanding.

But if the rackest are all the same weight, you are splitting hairs, very minor differences if you can tell at all.

    1) No, you cannot choose the weight but it can't hurt to try. :p

    2) AMPs and VH1800 are all good for singles.

    3) All the APACS rackets I have are G4.5 - 4.0 Yonex equivalent. They only have one size grip.

    4) Check your local store for availability, also check www.apacscanada.com if it's close to you.

I read this post plenty of times... just wanted a more definite answer =P besides, thought you might have different opinions or different views after a couple more weeks of using the racquets!

and yes, i do feel that the amp88 is easier to use than the amp95. was hoping that the amp90 would be less demanding than the amp88 because of the slim shaft and frame.

hehehe, if the difference of identical weight racquets is like splitting hairs, then why did you purchase so many amp95 and not amp88? they WERE $6 dollars cheaper! :p

    There's no definite answer.

And with respect to the identical weights, in general they are not. I said if they were, which I had, 87g AMP88, AMP90, AMP95, they played interchangeably. But the norm for the AMP95 = 89-90g which is more my style. If the AMP88 was 90g, I'd go with that because I think it looks better. :p

    Hey DinkaLot.

Is it true that the white Nanopower 900 is faster than the red one? I'm kinda looking for power and defense in a racket and I play doubles. Which one do you think will suit me better?
Also, is there a difference between Edgesaber 7 and 10?
Finally, have you heard of Nanopower 009 and 299? Are they the same as the 900 one?

Sorry for the many questions. Assumed you have some answers since you tried out so many APACs rackets. :) Thanks.

bought n tried the amp90 with bg80@25lbs and ori grip for 2hrs last nite, i feel it's fast n easy to adapt to

it feels lighter(i guess it's 87-88g for racket oni) than my ti10 white n yellow(89-90g) but still packs some power

control is very good bcoz of the stiff shaft

def is slightly better than ti10 mayb bcoz of its lightness or head heavy? duno

all in all, it's a fantastic n solid racket, jus tat it's not my ideal weight. thinking whether to keep it or sell it to get amp95. i think i'll make a decision after i try it again on monday nite
