Liu Shengshu seems very dangerous. She partnered with unknown Liaoning player An Yu, made Chen and Jia struggled in 3 sets before they lost to Chen and Jia in China national championship. Their winning score against Nami/Chiharu and the Thai pair is very overwhelming straight sets
I would say JC is a player that survives on his popularity and fame. i cant remember someone staying longer in top 8 without winning Superseries like JC and AaronSoh. Its how similar that the only title they won is AG and WC. Its hard at 26 staying that long at the top 8 without winning title but its of course true that he is the most famous single players now.

If we are talking Olympics, the youngest Chinese Olympic Champ was 20 (almost 21) Ge Fei in 1996. That was when the game wasn't so competitive as now. LiuSS hasn't been fully blooded yet, and the qualification starts in 4 months. I am not sure if the Chinese coaches would gamble with 18 year olds with the pressure of the Olympics. Otherwise, Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen would have easily qualified and played the 2016 Olympics ......
