Just like a training match for LiuSS/ZhangSX. Look forward to their first final together.

CHN Liu/Zhang looks very good, especially with their fast attacks and good defence. I wonder what will happen to the partnership of Zhang/Zheng if the result with Liu Shengshu is better.

I get a feeling if SYQ win this match against Christie, he will win this tournament. Although Chico is in a tremendous shape in this tournament.

Liu Sheng Shu is 18 years. Mark my words, world. You are looking at a new Serena Williams of Badminton WD. LSS will dominate WD in the next 12 years.

Liu Shengshu seems very dangerous. She partnered with unknown Liaoning player An Yu, made Chen and Jia struggled in 3 sets before they lost to Chen and Jia in China national championship.
Their winning score against Nami/Chiharu and the Thai pair is very overwhelming straight sets

I think no brain, Liu should be the priority
Interestingly her name means holy book?

I would say JC is a player that survives on his popularity and fame.

i cant remember someone staying longer in top 8 without winning Superseries like JC and AaronSoh. Its how similar that the only title they won is AG and WC.

Its hard at 26 staying that long at the top 8 without winning title but its of course true that he is the most famous single players now.

I think it's still too early to say, but no doubt she's quite a gem. Now CBA needs to find the ideal partner for her.

I also noticed that ZhangSX played more freely, smiled more and looked happier with LiuSS than playing with Zheng Yu. Somehow I want this pair to be permanent :p

Since Zheng Yu is pretty advanced in age, LiuSS with ZhangSX might be made permanent. But only after Paris 2024. I think Paris would be too early for LiuSS.

But Zheng and Zhang are not doing well against Korean young pairs. And often lost to Apri/Siti. There must be a reason for China to pair Zhang with Liu in this tournament for trial.

If we are talking Olympics, the youngest Chinese Olympic Champ was 20 (almost 21) Ge Fei in 1996. That was when the game wasn't so competitive as now. LiuSS hasn't been fully blooded yet, and the qualification starts in 4 months.

I am not sure if the Chinese coaches would gamble with 18 year olds with the pressure of the Olympics. Otherwise, Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen would have easily qualified and played the 2016 Olympics ......

SYQ totally missed his chance at another title! He is messing up his chances to improve his ranking. Totally disappointed
