Everyone, do you think that the players who qualify to World Tour Final are really deserved? No comparison to other players please, just look at the players' achievement.
The answer is no, because Verma's point now is higher than Ginting or Kantaphon. He's 6th now. So if Nishimoto has any chance to surpass Verma, then both of them will qualify and Ginting will be lost the ticket.
All the last 3 are separated by 20 or 30 points. And currently sameer is in 7th position. Most probably 1,3,5,7 and 2,4,6,8 will be group. CTC, SWH, Tommy and Sameer would be in a group & remaining 4 in the other group.
Does it matter? What matters is the qualified players are qualified according to the the rules and criteria which should be known by everyone since the first day of this year (therefore they deserved it) . What we think won't change anything. Many had expressed their thoughts and opinions on this matter. Surely you know the answers.
I am just asking for the opinion. That's all. I do think that everyone who qualify to WTF are well deserved.
2 per country do have an effect on Japanese players. There are so many Japanese WD who were sidelined because of this rule. It is ridiculous to see players with lesser points qualifying to WTF by neglecting these WD. At least they need to relax certain criteria.
My personal thoughts: MS : I think it's pretty much okay except maybe Wangcharoen. WS : No complaint MD : I don't think Liao/Su or Endo/Watanabe deserved it instead of Kamura/Sonoda. WD : Fuku/Hiro certainly deserved their spot instead of Du/Li. I'd give Chen/Jia more credit as Asian Games Gold medalist XD : All good
