WZM is in the Chinese team to record video of his teammates. I saw him recording Tian houwei's match, Xue Song's match and saw him moving many times in the media row with the camcorder. P.S : How tall is he? Looks so tall. As tall as Chen Long if my eyes are to be believed. Super slim as well.
upload to youtube and link here. unfortunately we cannot afford the disk space to host videos. (and we need to get you a better camera!)
Camera? I bunked my classes these two days to get real insight of badminton world. My poor potato had to bear the responsibility of capturing Gill biased Clarke who couldn't sit any further. Almost tied with the roof.
Intesresting pics (I wish I could say nice pics!). WZM is 1m85 if I remember correctly. It is said that tv makes people look fat.
Here is the link for today's program : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...BE4A8A-DD7C-4C88-A745-42D3D22ADEE8&d=20160401 [Edit : Sorry Nilesh, I did not see you put the link in the opening thread!]
Goh/Tan vs the danes Mads is interesting. Maheswari/Polii vs Tang/Yu is excellent Vittinghus vs Momota could be spectacular All those matches are on tv! Such a good program. Otherwise Anga/ricky vs the Kims is important (for qualification to OLY) Son vs Tommy is two players with the same style, might be a bit boring Xue Song vs MZ is also perhaps not the best, but will determine if we can hope for a Xue Song vs Momota clash next round!
MS suffers many setbacks, badminton enthusiasts need longer time to watch the blockbuster classic duel Lin D-Lee CW as both of them got unexpected defeat against Son WH and Wei Nan respectively. Another title contender Jorgensen also sent packing by the well-improved Xue Song, Tian HW and Chou TC couldn't go further in this tournament, lost to their opponents with different fashion. At top-half draw we'll see last year runner-up Viktor Axelsen against Lee Chong Wei's conqueror, Wei Nan while 2012 champion Son Wan Ho will up against 8th seed Tommy Sugiarto. The remaining highest seeded player in this category, Kento Momota will be tested by the in-form Hans Kristian Vittinghus and the giant-killer Xue Song has European rival once again, none but Germany fighter Marc Zwiebler. It's not out of script for WS quarterfinal, the favourites progress as predicted earlier. The tall P.V. Sindhu will face tricky test Bae Yeon Ju, head to head stats favour to the Korean but home hopeful scored first winning in their last three meetings. The battle of skillful shuttlers, Ratchanok Intanon v Tai Tzu Ying, equal chance for this tie, they're known for deceptive and unpredictable shots that awe badminton fans. Two Chinese stars will face off, Li Xuerui v Wang Shixian, their clash happens frequently in this year. The Olympic Champion Li had thrilling match against Porntip Buranaprasertsuk yesterday. Indian jewel Saina Nehwal is favoured to eliminate Sung Ji Hyun. Defending champion Chai B/Hong W were ousted by INA potential duo, Gideon/Sukamuljo. China is really struggling in this department as the negative trend continues for all their elite pairs, wake-up call for upcoming Thomas Cup. Current NZL winner and runner-up still manage good run, Ko SH/Shin BC will take on former world top 5, Taiwanese Lee SM/Tsai CH and Pratama/Suwardi have two-time WC bronze medalist Kim GJ/Kim SR. Malaysian top-ranked Goh VS/Tan WK will challenge last year beaten finalist Conrad/Kolding. One remaining semifinal ticket will be contested between two unseeded pairs, Gideon/Sukamuljo v Chen HL/Wang CL. Top-seed Maheswari/Polii should apply better strategy this time how to overcome their nemesis Tang YT/Yu Y as they never won in five previous meetings. Netherlands pair, Muskens/Piek have daunting task to meet world number one Matsutomo/Takahashi. At lower half of draw, Chinese promising combination Chen QC/Jia YF will test their capability against reigning European Champion, Pedersen/Rytter Juhl. Another Japanese contestant at this stage, Fukuman/Yonao have easy opponent this evening - local pair Sahdev/Santosh - after they dumped Korean number one Jung KE/Shin SC yesterday. Three China XD relatively new partnerships and one established pair advance to last eight, Liu YC/Tang JH will up against Issara/Amitrapai who knocked out 8th seed Shin BC/Chae YJ at second round, one semi ticket has been secured through Lu K/Huang YQ v Wang YL/Chen QC. And Zhang W/Jia YF have heavyweight rival, second seed Ko SH/Kim HN. Danish finest Fischer/Pedersen will meet tricky Indonesian combo Widianto/Dili. LIVE TV (Court 1, 02.00pm) matches : 1) Ratchanok Intanon (THA) v Tai Tzu Ying (TPE) 2) Mads Conrad Petersen/Mads Pieler Kolding (DEN) v Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong (MAS) 3) Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii (INA) v Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang (CHN) 4) Sung Ji Hyun (KOR) v Saina Nehwal (IND) 5) Hans Kristian Vittinghus (DEN) v Kento Momota (JPN)
WOW so much surprise .... today match will be even more tense... any predictions ...?? seems like can go either way for most of the ties ... which is 50/50 game
Chou Tien Chen was just there to collect his check yesterday. The tanking was so obvious, it was hilarious. Chou's smash looked weaker than Wang Shixian. Chou - The Tank Engine. Very Bad Chouuuuuuuu !
Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei didn't come to India SS to throw their matches. They would have skipped the tournament if they didn't want to win. They are both guilty of taking it easy and not maintaining focus. They needed to play at a high level as Lin Dan did at the All England final. It is difficult to maintain that kind of level consistently, once you are 30+. Wei Nan and Son Wan Ho had their fairytale moments and this will do a lot to boost their confidence and morale. This will also give other players the hope that they can also topple the legends. I won't be surprised if the legends fail to make the final in Rio.
