Pan Li is much loved by all the CHN WD players young and old, treated like a mother by them, someone they can confide in and who even goes out of her way to help and take care of them in their personal affairs. Many of them openly said they owed their careers to her.
I must say, the Danes appeared a bit tired though in G3, not surprising as it's their 4th match this second week after taking the JPN Open title last Sunday, esp when both of them are fond of attacking which is energy-sapping.
The JPN Open'16 MD titlist, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, now in the semifinals of the back-to-back KOR Open SS - pretty good already.
Li Junhui is getting better and better at the front court and his smashing power at the back is intimidating, sharp and steep, even though he's tall but not hefty in build.
Liu Yuchen is also improving but I'm more impressed by Li Junhui whom I consider the better of the two Chinese atm.
The speed of the MAS pair in fast flat exchanges is putting pressure on the CHN pair. They, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, will have to learn from their seniors, Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan, how to effectively counter that; maybe they can work it out themselves.
In G1, the CHN pair was leading 2/3 of the way before losing it, they would've to figure what what went wrong quickly in G2.
The MAS pair relies on speed and quick interception, once the CHN pair can keep them guessing with more shot variation, fast and slow, it'll be good, I think.
Right, don't always go for fast pushes, mix it up. And they force the decider. Will they have the stamina and endurance to win G3 ?
