Hello Everyone, bhoww! Could anyone tell me where is wei nan? The best player of Hong Kong? Who in their right mind selects wonki over Nan Wei.
That is the team strategy for today. To let Wei Nan have a good rest and play tomorrow. Unfortunately the whole strategy just backfired.
@Nine Tailed Fox If you look at the scores of Hong Kong versus Indonesia it is indeed a tough fought match although Indonesia just won 3-0. 1 MS1 Tommy SUGIARTO win Ka Long Angus NG 21-17 22-20 1-0 0:46 2 MD1 Mohammad AHSAN / Hendra SETIAWAN win Chin Chung OR / Chun Man TANG 22-20 22-20 1-0 0:34 3 MS2 Christie JONATAN win Yun HU 22-20 21-18 1-0 0:44
The result for Korea versus USA is out. 1 WS1 Ji Hyun SUNG win Iris WANG 21-14 21-11 1-0 0:34 2 WS2 Yeon Ju BAE win Crystal PAN 21-9 21-11 1-0 0:26 3 WS3 Hyo Min KIM win Kerry XU 21-7 21-4 1-0 0:21 4 WD2 Ye Na CHANG / So Hee LEE win Jennie GAI / Crystal PAN 21-6 21-4 1-0 0:18 5 WD1 Kyung Eun JUNG / Seung Chan SHIN win Annie XU / Kerry XU 21-11 21-7 0-0 0:20
Wow, I certainly didnt expect this (4-0 whitewash). When I said it can go either way, I didnt expect to go to Ina way all around. But selfishly I am happy
And unfortunately my favourite XD player from Hong Kong couldn't even get a chance to play in this Thomas and Uber Cup 2016 edition.
Its very cruel that Beatriz lost 26-28 on 3rd set. That tie is supposedly goes to Spain, now its impossible that Spain can win any double tie.
Vincent Wong Wing Ki morale is certainly at its lowest now as Hong Kong just lost 0-4. He may not be so motivated to play well now.
Team championships are a different ball game altogether. A good start can raise the morale of all team members. But a bad one can demoralize, no matter how good the player is individually as in the INA-HKG match.
Damn, that backhand smashes from Ihsan. Truly my most fave from the trio : Jonatan - Anthony - Ihsan. Too bad he always has bad luck in terms of Draw on tourneys.
Couldnt agree more uncle. Historically Ina has long way to make recipe to escape in team events, although in individual events they are most dissapointed lately. Anyway, good boost for Ina TC today, despite some tight moments in some play, they all won in straight sets. But this is just the beginning.
malaysia men team made to struggle the last 2 games.... uncles pair lost to relative unknowns....goh soon huat made to stretch 3 sets before giving malaysia a 4-1 win..... its exciting to watch the young players of thailand, indonesia, india, korea even japan with their gambling habit.. ehem......but the future of malaysian mens badminton judging from the talents in this Thomas Cup edition...... pretty depressing
