NTM is determined not to lose for the 3rd time in a row and gain revenge on Ajay Jayaram 21-18, 21-13 His results has been good since Singapore SS.
Akane looks good and Tai-phoon is a formidable opponent. However, I think (hopefully not) there will not be a Japanese in WS final For MS, it should be a repeat of All-england between LCW and KT (bearing no upset). Hope KT can live up to his billing tomorrow.
Unfortunately he's against LCW in the semi final. Let's see if he can force LCW into a 3rd game. By which sponsor is he sponsored actually? Is he still using Victor MX-70 in this tournament? Still wearing Kawasaki apparels?
Exactly. Once you have decent technique etc, you can use just about anything as long as you're familiar with the racket.
Good game by the younger Danes:

Mathias Boe [2]

Carsten Mogensen

-

Mads Conrad-Petersen

Mads Pieler Kolding

21-16 21-19

This Joachim FN is amazing la. While other XD players of same age (say, Zhang Jun and Nova W.) already go coaching (and subsequently, suffer "body expansion"), here he is, 35 y.o., still active and kicking. You rock, uncle.
Watching how Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan totally destroyed the TPE pair is really quite scarry! The entire match was over in just 24 mins! And this is not against any cap-ayam pair....the TPE pair is currently WR10 and ranked even higher than Rian/Angga (INA's 2nd pair). They beat Ko/Lee in the WC last month! In fact, for the past 3 tourneys (stretching back to SIN Open in June), the longest match involving Hendra/Ahsan was merely 35 mins!
ahsan/hendra force their opponent to play flat ball, even they have been smashed over and over, the return ball will be kept as low as possible. they rather choose being stuck on the net than high ball. by playing this style it'll create really really fast and short rally. Nobody doubt about hendra setiawan magic in front of the net. Even gillian clarck say the genius lee yong day really look ordinary, being man in front of the net, his ability is second to none. But if the opponent choose to lift the ball, hard smasher and quick foot ahsan will eat them. The point went up quickly.. to be honest it's not fun since hard to stop them now. at least since singapore open, they not even loose single set. I ever met hendra once and have little warming up on the court. lol but i'm sure the day when their strategy found the right counter strategy will come. hendra is no longer young *by asian athlete age. Stamina and focus will drop when he play long set. Youngster will beat them by using right strategy.
Too bad, they are the only reliable MD pair INA is having right now. The younger ones, well, you know...
Poor WSX...muddling along when everyone is most probably thinking, stick a fork in her, she's done...how much longer will she be on the national team?
yeah ... Why? It is very hard to catch LXL and QZH in action nowadays. I am so expecting a match between them vs. Hendra/Ahsan and dammit!!! LYB has spoken. Who is Jun Kang/Cheng Liu anyway... Arggggghhhh .... They will be trashed in 30 minutes or less match by Hendra/Ahsan I bet.
What a joke they don´t put Xu/Ma vs. Fischer/Pedersen on the tv court... The rest is logical. Qualitywise still not as competitive as other SS events :/
Ahsan, Mogensen, and Ratchanok are using Yonex Arc FB (5U rackets). Please take a look at the photos from the recent concluded WC: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...06-BWF-World-Championships-2013-Photos!/page3 Heavy headed racket, so what???
No significant surprising outcome today, aside from the high percentage of "civil war" matches. The SF will be more vibrant than today's ones. The clash of titans will definitely be:

XD

Chen Xu [1]

Jin Ma

-

Joachim Fischer Nielsen [3]

Christinna Pedersen

You just see the racket its look. What's in, you don't know Who knows, maybe it's an Arcsaber 10 inside? Well, I think Arc10 looks more bulky, but it was just an example. Or: How do you know if it isn't a 3U Arc FB? I've met an olympic champion from an earlier era. He told me and several guests that his sponsor also suggested him to play with his old racket with the paint design of a newer racket. But he refused, because the paint was too heavy, he said If the latter is true, I don't know. But I believe it's true that it's usual for professionals to play rackets with a paint design of a new one for marketing purposes. Whatever, let's stop this off-topic here ^^
