Chan Yan Kit's 28th birthday ?! Hong Kong's mature players are remarkable, Hu Yun, a well-known veteran, and now Chan Yan Kit and Wei Nan.

Poor Zavadsky - he could have won if he had kept steady till the end. At least it would have made for a more exciting final with Ukraine vs. Hong Kong...

And huh? on the commentator insisting that it's Chan Yan Kit's birthday today when Google tells me that he was born on the 10th of December.

that is rather rare for hong Kong to have two representatives in the final - the first team are playing the East Asian Games.

At least 1 title for Ina, and surprisingly HK

Rijal/Debby should take it baring any collapse from them

So far impressive from Anggia/Della but will be tough vs BYX/TJH..one set stealing consider a reward

Li Gen is kind of Fat for a China professional player.
I watched yesterday match, and noticed that Zhang Nan is trying his best to play a good game, only thing missing is ZN telling LG What to do and How to play strategy against their opponents. Maybe all partners pairing with LG fear the backlash from LYB if they "instruct" LG too much. LG did try his best yesterday, but communication is totally missing in their partnership.

Yup, all HKG finals in MS, I guess this is the first time, congrats :)

Much better than last week London GP Gold, INA has chance to bag 2 titles here unless Rijal/Debby continue their slump performance.

There is also a chance for Singapore to get 2 titles, but I think there is a higher chance that they may end up with 2 Runner-up positions.

Just now checked the results.. Two HK MS in the finals.. :). Happened to watch SF match of zavadsky. He really impressed me with his play and also Chan Yan Kit. His defense was very solid. CYK controlled the shuttle very well till the end which took the match away from zavadsky. Hope to see him in future tournaments. Many many misjudgements from zavadsky even during the crucial stages of the match paid the price. Overall, a very good match.

I think it depends on the date format. If I'm not wrong, HKSAR follows the Day/Month/Year format,i.e. dd/mm/yy(yy) , so does The Netherlands. And yesterday was 12th Oct, so the commentator, assuming he follows this format, is correct. Google is American which follows the M/D/Y format, I presume - which means 10/12/2013 is Oct 12th 2013 and not Dec 10th 2013. CMIIW.
