I guess after what happened at the US Open, nobody would think of badminton as a 'gentleman's' sport anymore. Basically, I've no complaints with any of the English-speaking commentators, my favourite combination is Gillian Clark with Morten Frost.

As for the Chinese commentators, if you understand Mandarin and lucky enough to gain access sometimes on CCTV livestream apart from the subscribed CCTV TV channel itself, they are excellent whether it's for their technical analyses, background info, anecdotes and trivia, very professional, fair and balanced, objective and unbiased, giving praises where due regardless of players' nationalities; such as Zhao Ting Ting, Zhao Jianhua, Chen Hong Gang ( hope I remember his name correctly, he's the guy who talks solo practically non-stop) and one or two others whose names I can't recall offhand.

Hmm it does not look good for Mas. Looks like LCW is not really on form for this WC. Age is catching up I think~ Chen Long looks quite strong to win the MS~

That's not how you should call an ex-world champion.

And there are also those equally good sport commentators on gdtv (Guangdong TV) which is in the Cantonese vernacular which, unfortunately, I understand less than Mandarin, so I don't turn to much.

I think it is 4 on 4 because CY/FHF vs THH/WKT in MD is on too. Apart from LCW, I do not put much hope for other MAS players.

I agree that CCTV is the best so far within the channels I can understand.

Agree and that is also the reason why LD is LD and CL is getting better and better after 2012 Olympic games. Of course, it makes very hard for LCW to win any big titles (including this one) since then.
