A pity both WWK and JOJ have to meet so early, either one is a good semi-final prospect if not final, I think.

Haha did anyone see that in the JOJ vs WWK match? Good defense but too good reaction by JOJ :D

JOJ showing master class? The score indicates an emphatic win against WWK. Yeah, JOJ should be in the final, at least.

OK, a nice win by Wang ZM. His QF opponent, Chou TC, is another proposition.

11-4 to Hsu in the last set. Seems like Du Pengyu will lose this time around... Hsu looks pretty fresh still too.

Never underestimate DuPY. He will grind it out till the death. As it stands he has caught up to 13-14

Look who's in control now. 6 straight points brings DuPY to the brink of victory. 19-15

And he cleans house with a 21-15 win in the rubber. Hsu must be devastated.

Can we call DuPY Robot v2?

I should stop making predictions... It feels like Du Pengyu is just enjoying himself letting the opponent almost win then shattering his hope in the last second.

So you admit it's your fault? :p

If you search the dictionary for "giving 100%", you'll see a pic of DuPY

Vivian Hoo/Woon Khe Wei did well again to reach the QF as they did at the 2013 AE.
Obviously they are worthy successors to CEH/WPT who retired in late 2012.
Chong Wei Feng made amends for his failure at the AE beating Kashyap Parupalli (S6) and Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah and Hoon Thien How/Tan Wee Kiong also advanced.
However in the QF, the Malaysians face formidable opponents and hopefully they do well.
