hey sis, you surprised me you know? haha... I thought only WD and MD in this tournament. After clicking the link, I found MS, WS and XD. :D Akane Yamaguchi and Aya Ohori will be playing though.

Sorry, it's misunderstanding with my posting :D Too bad the talented and newly-crowned JPN SS winner Akane has withdrawn but Aya is playing.

No qualification round due to lack of participants, the main draw will be kicked off tomorrow : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=10FE1479-143A-4A54-A2F9-5DD61FE53DC1

I wonder why not more overseas players enter this tournament. After all, it looks like a good place to pick up ranking points. How easy is it to get a visa into Russia?

It's too expensive for most European players who aren't funded to travel to Vladivostok. Visa's tend to be fairly strictly controlled but not too difficult if you're "clean"

it's close to Japan, therefore, some Japanese players there.

it's close to China and Korea too, but CHN and KOR players are controlled by their teams, they cannot play any tournaments upon their own willingness.
