M/Q Report (updated 25th October 2013) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=506456&dl=1 DRAW date : 5th November 2013
Sorry for the OT but I would just like to ask if someone knows the link where I can buy online tickets for the 2013 Hong Kong badminton open. Many thanks!
Final version: http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=507721&dl=1 Too bad, Boe/Mogensen withdrew, otherwise, still a very strong field! Looking forward to watching some great matches!
unfortunate Hoon/Tan did not take part this tournament, how they able to qualify for SS Finals in KL this December...
I think they still can qualify for SS finals because their point from China Open already enough. Lee/Yoo even if they won both China and HK open will still not qualify. LYD must partner Ko again if he wants to play in SS finals
A place in this CO Open final will elevate them above the KOR Kims. See : http://osimbwfwss.com/ for the table. Not sure if this is enough to earn them a spot.
Interested to see Cai Yun/ Fu Haifeng back together. If they keep getting beat and can't settle into other pairs I wonder what they'll do? L/ Q are certainly better than them and Hong/ Chai can't be far behind either. Mixed doubles surely isn't a possibility, but young to retire. Meanwhile SK seem to have hit the nail on the head with LYD/ Yoo pairing. Beating Ahsan/ Setiawan in straight games twice really is something considering their form this year. In WS i'll be interested to see how Li Xuerui/ Shixian go. A first round exit wouldn't surprise me after their brutal final. Neither have a simple R1 game. As for English players this week............ The Adcock's will make it to R2 before likely losing to the Danes Very tough draw for our players.
Possibly. WSX has been playing a fair bit and non-stop, from DEN Open, French Open, CHN Open, and CBSL in between, next is this HK Open. The same goes for Intanon R but she has to perform well here in order to qualify for the SSF. And LXR, who was unwell during the DEN Open from which she withdrew at the QF stage as well as skipping the French Open, was looking fatigue in yesterday's final with WSX, a grueling match it was.
Latest update according ts.com, some shuttlers have withdrawn : Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif/Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari (MAS), Angga Pratama/Ryan Agung Saputra (INA), Ko Sung Hyun/Shin Baek Cheol (KOR), Vivian Hoo Kah Mun/Woon Khe Wei (MAS), Eom Hye Won/Shin Seung Chan (KOR), Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen (DEN), Shin Baek Cheol/Eom Hye Won (KOR), Ronald Alexander/Debby Susanto (INA), Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA).
Well that improves England's chances then. Adcocks could make it through to SF vs Zhang/ Zhao Adcock/ Ellis should hope for a better showing vs Endo/ Hayakawa. They were beaten surprisingly easily last week. They are much better than that showing.
No, they can't qualify unless Kim/Kim withdrawn without playing a single shot. As the last 32 place at the HKO will give Kim/Kim 2660 pts automatically latest tables http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/134453-Who-will-qualify
