Every time you play a clear, esp a defensive one, Tine will pound it down and she is finding the target so far in this tournament with her lethal smashes.
Well, your remark of "Indonesians toying with Chinese" was certainly not based in fact (as they lost that match). And you've been having that fight with mrinalini where you were both trashing one Nation's players.... My remark about you supporting whomever you want was meant just like I wrote it. Support whoever you like! That's what we want in here. Positive comments and ppl enjoying the sport. Negative remarks about the players one doesn't like should be kept to a minimum, and that's true for everyone.
I realise that is the nickname BCers gave her. I remember now, if I'm not wrong, it was our very own kwun who first called her Janet.
Semifinal day on TV started with 2 rather predictable matches where the top seed won in straight sets. The next 2 matches made up for it in terms of excitement, especially the Men doubles. The 2 pairs have the potential to meet many times this year with the same level of exciting badminton. Liu Xiao Long/ Qiu Zihan pairing has been around for quite some time but never made great impact until the last 2 weeks. I never watched them as pair before this week so surprised that their weakness are hardly seen. Too bad Hendra still unable to win AE yet. Ahsan is a bit like Tontowi, when people have high expectation, he tends to crack. After winning Malaysian SS and most of the early favourites were beaten, people expect them to win this AE. I would expect Hendra/Ahsan to play well in the next Premier SS, INA open if the expectation on them not that high.
Even an offensive clear can be returned by Tine with interest, that's why everytime you lift the shuttle against her beware of her smash.
Lost the first game after a comfortable lead. As always, it's very hard for INA players to be consistent.
Yup, we met her last December and was a very good badminton player. A good XD combination with her husband.
Have to disagree partly - Endo/Hayakawa have not really been very consistent. It's the reason they often lost in earlier stages than their seeding would suggest. The often play like they did against the Koreans, winning most points when things are clicking for them, but losing points rapidly when one of them goes off the boil for a bit and makes errors or plays his partner into trouble. I think both pairs have a lot of potential, although with China being the stronger Nation and Liu/Qiu being younger and thus having more time ahead of them I guess they'll be the overall more successful players over their whole career. But it's definitely exciting to see new pairs at the top, hopefully the coming years won't be the same as the 2011-2012 period where it was pretty much just the question if Jung/Lee or Cai/Fu would win.
There will be alot of bad line calls against Sung JH, just getting that out Alot of the line judges like Tine Baun
