LXR wasn't at her most intimidating today, yet... Exuding such quiet supreme confidence as only a true champion could. She's showing no sign of slowing down,if anything, she is getting better and better, incredible !
I think Schenk is a very good player and well capable of upsetting other major players. She just does not have the edge AND entourage the chinese have. Badminton is just not that big in Germany and believe it or not but it DOES make a difference. That said, LXR is on fire nowadays. I hope she doesn't burn out.
Men's singles now. In yesterday's semi final they had Shon Wan Ho's name shortened to HO on the TV scoreboard, after about 5 points it was quickly changed to Shon, wonder what they'll chose this time
Haha I actually want Shon to win, and do think he has a realistic chance of doing it if he plays like yesterday (not to mention taking LCW twice to 3 games before)
For a moment I thought JS was going to do what Saina said she wanted to do. LXR took quite sometime to settle down into her usual game, no thanks to JS's ability to retrieve all her shots. Trying to fight her way back in the second set completely drained JS. JS can be a threat to China's Olympic hopes if she can maintain her form. WSX may have to wait until 2016.
Do you think LCW is wearing long sleeve shirts to hide any strapping he might have on his shoulder...or just simply sponsor instructions to demo the new shirts?
The commentator keeps mentioning that shon needs to be 16th or better to qualify, but fails to mention if he's actually managed it with this tournament, or if he still needs to win ... Anybody know?
I quite like the victor shorts and the purple version of Shon's shirt (he was wearing it yesterday), pity you can't get them in this country. Fingers crossed for the new victor website I guess.
