Malaysian MD and XD fizzled out in the SFs losing out to the Japanese and Indonesians respectively.
KKK/TBH do not deserve the top seeding and it’s a torture just to watch them play so-so.
I salute PHG (3) the 34 year old Dane who beat the 26 year old PSH (6) in straight games, 21-15, 21-19.
He was 6-12 down in the 2nd game and yet he managed to claw back and won. The Malaysian back-up players should take a leaf from this great player.
YPY (4) was not at her best and lost tamely to PB 21-13, 21-8.
The Indonesians and Japanese have done well in this tournament with 3 doubles pairs reaching the finals. Unfortunately for the host, India, none of their players made it to the finals. Their MS players were all eliminated in the quarter finals.
