it's still good to know that so many countries have participated...
Badminton is global sports now..:)

Chen Jin appears to be a spent force.
He has been beaten by lower ranked and unheralded players and has been shown the exit in early stages of tournaments.
I hope that he gets well if he is injured.
Liew Darren did well to stretch Du Pengyu to 3 games and the score was close.
Hopefully the only Malaysians left, GWS/LKW, will do well in the QF.

2011 BAC R-16: Sho Sasaki [11] defeated Chen Jin [5]

However, we give credit to Sho Sasaki [11] who is currently playing well. :):):)

Chen Jin [5] is only seeded 6 places above Sasaki. The match with the scores of 21-12, 20-22, 21-15, in 78 minutes tells us that Sasaki is probably fitter Chen Jin.

The Thais are really doing well in this tournament........

Yes, hope LKW/GWS could at least take a game off CY/FHF.......

Sho Sasaki beat Chen Jin .. Any bros believe will he beat Lin Dan tonight ?

Fu Haifeng , Cai yun , is expected to win tonight

Support all CHINA players while i'm in holiday,,,,,,,,

ZHONG GUO DUI .... Jiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Youuuuuuuuuuuuu....

seems like japan and thailand have arrived as powerful badminton nations ... they have performed well consistently in many tournaments. indonesia and korea is struggling but is ok for now.. although they seem to be on a downward trend too.. china maintains. malaysia is nowhere to be found
the changing of the guards is a painful thing

I think it's odd that North Korea is not good at badminton, because the sport has such a strong presence in East and Southeast Asia. This is in strong contrast to table tennis, where they are pretty good.
