I saw the ATP Tour Finals. It was such fun to see the best play each other as a final tournament of year. I don't think they pay more money than a Grand Slam or an ATP Tour Finals is any near to repute than a Grand Slam. But the players were there and they played class matches.:)

Compare this to SSM Finals. The tournament is a joke and players are making fun of limited number of badminton fans.
Perhaps, the World Badminton body should actually reduce number of tournaments to get better participations.

Hardly anything left in this tournament to watch, when every known player is opting out.

... guess this is the last and only thing that LCW could hold against LD, especially after his last open claim that LD did not beat him in team events was shattered to pieces at the SC May this year... trust he could still enjoy it for a good while, or maybe forever... :D

    * Why late la... even the draw, only Dec. 1 will release... everything is rushing2... no point.. if players can like, cancel participation/withdraw last minute throughout SS/baddy tourneys... why not BWF? hehehe... jk...jk...

    * BWF must make the National Assoc.s send them la... show some respect to the int'l body... sure got way to make them come.. if Sudirman cup, the thomas cup and all the big cups, they're like definitely have to come, so BWF must make SS final a 'must attend event' also... how? dunno... :Dhehehe... it's BWF's job to think of a way... not me lah.. I will go and watch and support only :D... in front of the TV... kekeke

    * Let's see... if we don't have Sea Games, or the East Asian Games (is it?) ... is there any more tourney before MO in Jan? MO starts late next year... playing back to back with interval about a week resting period, can't? Impossible? hmmm... BWF just need to manage their events properly, I think. Now their schedule are too pack and seems like not really doing a good job at planning it... that's why SSF is only held when e-body can just say bye bye to it ....

P/s: if this year is so busy with many big regional games, why la early2 year decide to add SSF in the busy calendar? it just shows how the planning and the managing are not working the way they should have worked... greedy...greedy...:)

Yup Era, it's East Asia Games, start 9 Dec. And I agree, these SEA & East Asia long time already the date fixed, this BWF still want to put in.:(

Jan 2010 ah, Korea SS is 1st lah, then only MO. February is Chinese New Year but that's the time the calendar is free. That also some may not want to participate cos..Chinese New Year lah, prepare for AE lah, all sorts of reason.:p:p

The best week to stage our SS Masters Finals

    .
I agree. Perhaps, our number of SS tournaments could be reduced by half

Also, if our tournaments could be completed in the first 9 months of a year, then we would have the last 3 months, in which we can find the best week to stage our SS Masters Finals.
