yeah, right, this time it is 'could' - only if he's at his best - I know, should applies for others as well
Re-calculation: MD Group A CHN beat KKK: (1) CHN ---Fuz beat INA: (2) Fuz ---INA beat Fuz: 3-way tie-break for (2) KKK beat CHN ---INA beat Fuz: (1) KKK, (2) CHN ---Fuz beat INA: 3-way tie-break for (1) and (2) WS Group B Schenk beat Salakjit: (1) Schenk ---Yao beat Grether: (2) Yao ---Grether beat Yao: 3-way tie-break for (2) Salakjit beat Schenk ---Grether beat Yao: (1) Salakjit, (2) Schenk ---Yao beat Grether: 3-way tie-break for (1) and (2)
West Malaysia used to be about one hour behind East Malaysia. Used to be about the same as Jakarta and Bangkok. But in order to standardise the time for the whole country, it was decided to follow the East Malaysia time, therefore in KL, the time is the same with Beijing and Hong Kong, even though georaphically, KL (and JB) is more in line with Bangkok and Jakarta.
... it appears to me more like because PSH was reserving his energy for the forthcoming semi-final, he tops the group whether win or lose today anyway...
Re-calculation For both MAS pairs to go through, obviously both Fuzzy and KKK/TBH must win. It's the manner of winning that matters. Both must win by straight games (in order to have points tie-break). If KKK/TBH win straight, but not Fuzzy, then (1) KKK/TBH (2) CHN If Fuzzy win straight, but not KKK/TBH, then (1) CHN (2) Fuzzy If both win by rubber, then (1) CHN (2) Fuzzy If both win straight, then it still has to come down to points W-L as all 3 pairs will have 4-2 games records. Currently, the points W-L is as follows CHN +11 Fuzzy +3 KKK/TBH +3 Assuming Fuzzy wins in straight games, then they will have at least +5 in points. So, if KKK/TBH can beat CHN in straight games by 7 points and more, and Fuzzy can win in straight games, then both MAS pair will advance.
If KKK/TBH wins 21-19, 21-19 and Fuzzy wins 21-19, 21-19 then CHN +7 Fuzzy +7 KKK/TBH +7 They will draw lots.
