Venue : Gyeyang Gymnasium Tournament date : 24-29 September 2014 DRAW : http://badmintonasia.org/wp-content/...Games-2014.xls Schedule & Result : http://www.incheon2014ag.org/Sports/...140922&lang=en KOR time : http://www.worldtimezone.com/time/wt...ma=Find%20Time Day-8 programme (starting time : 01.00pm local time) : - Quarterfinals (MS, XD) - Semifinals (WS, MD) - FINAL (WD) MS, LCW v LD for semifinal showdown two headline clashes tomorrow will be Lin D v Tago and Chen L v Son WH. We'll see how the unpredictable Lin Dan performance against the resilient Tago. Revenge in Chen Long's mind to redeem his painful team event final losing, will he make it? Lee CW has no serious problem to overcome Nguyen TM. Wei N will not waste his chance to bag bronze medal at least after he eliminated 4th seed Sugiarto in marathon match WS, all CHN finals here? Bae YJ who fully supported by home fans may deny CHN scenario, this lady seems on fire MD, home pairs ambition for gold Barring any upset Lee YD/Yoo YS will meet Ahsan/Setiawan on Sunday's final WD FINAL : Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi (JPN) v Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda Maheswari (INA) Last time INA WD bagged gold through Verawaty Fajrin/Imelda Wiguna back to 1978 Bangkok AG while JPN won gold through Machiko Aizawa/Etsuko Takenaka in 1970 Bangkok AG. This gold medal match will be close contest as they had displayed in team event quarterfinal. No gold medal so far for INA contingent, hopefully it will be realized tomorrow! XD, it's KOR v INA Ahmad/Natsir v Shin BC/Jang YN, Jordan/Susanto v Ko SH/Kim HN. It's not easy to play KOR shuttlers at their homesoil, must be tricky test for INA #1. Top two seeds CHN pairs are expected to prevail.
It was already history in wd when no Chn pairs are advanced in final AG, where in decades they seem so untouchable. Awaiting in history also for both wd pairs, but given the circumstances where Ina desperately need gold medal, I will cheering hard for " already my hero in my book " Greysia/Nitya Always prepare for the loss but not without a "bloodbath" fight
As for other remaining Ina hopefuls, I dont know, it seems the big problem for most countries except for Koreans is the gutsy wind which is complained repeteadly. If Ina players can handled this then maybe they will have upper hand, but MD and XD will be tough against home shuttlers
Why is it always have the drama when playing badminton event in Korea Can it be for once home organizers play fair and square...
replay for SF - Greysia polli/Nitya k.maheswaari vs zhao y./tian q.
Please share livestream and replay links of the matches tomorrow. The first matches are too earlie for me because of the time difference... Almost all matches are watchable. Should be a great day of BAdminton. Hopefully all are gone be covered somehow and uploaded on youtube later
Yes, mixed double would be tricky today as we're facing home players. Hopefully they ll do their best! And for Hendra/Ahsan, all da best as well. As for Greysia/Nitya, they should be motivated to avenge their loss at team event.
WD final will be a grueling event with both MD pairs like to play Rally and counterattacking. All the best for Greysia/Nitya. We all Indonesians count on you. Get the gold sisters!!! Ayo Abisin! Abisin!
Well, so far TVRI indeed has 'Antar Gelanggang' where they had shown some matches, but I don't know if they could asked for WD finale, I mean, usually they have some random matches, lol. Hopefully they have it. Please. Hehe.
Agree. China's women doubles have been so dominant since the 1980s. For them, this is a real shocker.
Haish, Cheung, just a typo laaar, hahaha... judging from the score at their event match, (I didn't watch it) this should be good, hehe... I really hope Greysia/Nitya could turn the table. I was searching for their head to head and found out they only met for the first time at their event. They met when they had different partner though, so I guess they'll already know what would they see at finale. Takahashi/Matsutomo has been playing well, I think they're quite different by typical fully defensive Japanese pair. They have strong counter-attack as they've shown while beating CHN pair at Uber Cup (though the team lost at the end), I think from that moment they growing confident and it really shows in their result.
Yesterday's SF match, TQ was the weak link and ZYL looked a bit frustrated. INA pair scored many points from TQ.
