Dive retrievals not as fast and effective as before for Lin Dan.

Lee DK giving his all, playing with wild abandon with nothing to lose and under no pressure.

LDK once again fooled by the deceptive net shot from LD.

Chen Long should learn from Lin Dan how to outwit the opponent at the net.

CHN v KOR, 1-2. As expected, Lin Dan delivers first winning point for CHN team, def. Lee Dong Keun 21-18 / 21-15. So, will it be 3-1 or 3-2 for KOR?

LD settled into his standard game in set 2. He looked a bit rusty in set 1 though. Lee Dongkuen's opportunity was in set 1 but he couldn't capitalize.

Chen Long doesn't have too many deceptive shots. Chen Long has always been about using his height/length and playing consistent.

If Chen Long had deception and could play deception consistently, he would be better than Lin Dan.

At his younger age, he used to keep bombing his opponent as if the jumping smash is unlimited and more on the aggressive side. Nowadays he prefer to repel and counterattack whatever his opponent is throwing

I'll call it LD's Zone instead of Tezuka Zone if you know what i mean

Well, in a most unenviable position, a do-or-die and must-win situation, Lin Dan survives the intense heat, shoulders the heaviest responsibility and delivers for Team CHN - that's the hallmark of a True Champion.

Just imagine if CHN could field Lin Dan as MS1, Chen Long as MS2 and Tian Houwei as MS3.

I supposed you mean today's Lin Dan, not the pre-LOG one which I think is unmatched, peerless, incomparable.

It happened many years ago when Lin Dan was leading man supported by his two dependable compatriots Chen Jin and Bao Chunlai, I guess this is CHN best trio beside Yang Yang-Xiong Guobao-Zhao Jianhua from 80's era.

Now is for the two old CHN MD warriors to step up to the plate.

The current generation of CHN male players haven't been able to keep up with their more illustrious seniors. There is no one to replace Cai/Fu, and apart from Chen Long, no other players can play at the top level. Earlier there used to be atleast 2-3 players to play at the top most level. Add to it, that Chen Long hasn't really been dependable for big ticket events.
There lacks that killing instinct, that crop of champions and winners in the CHN team. The CHN team was comprehensive, with champions like LD, Cai/Fu, and had top class dependable players like Chen Jin, Bao Chunlai.

Fu Haifeng's thundering smash as lethal as in his good old days.

2 kims need to play calmly. They should not give away too many points
