    i usually play twice a week,..2 hours to 3 hours. :)

sometimes, if there's an opportunity for me to play on weekends,
    4 hours is the minimum.

Some update on my "lazier" life style:

Used to play 4-5 times a week, but for the past 2.5 months, I think I played no more than 5-6 times in total. No wonder I am gaining weight in no time... :crying:

Yeah, I noticed that with Badminton. If you start playing irregularly after lets say some months of steady playing the weight gain comes on really fast. :)

Right now, I'm playing around 5 days a week, 4-5 hours each day for a total of around 20-25hours per week.

    Guys,

Out of curiosity for those who qualify for being classified as extreme in my books, don't your body crave for a break if you play 4-5 hrs a day ?

That's like 15-20% of your time and with a decent 8 hrs of sleep everyday, you are only left with 11-12 hrs for other things. Don't you study or work?

Or is there a secret energy potion that you consume ?? :)

    new schedule, yee-hah!!!!:D:D
    it's 6 days for me...
monday: 07:00-08:15 or soemthing, morning practise
    thuesday: 2 hours evening practise

    friday: mornign practise
    sunday: competition (yet to start)

You really have to focus your week on it...I loce to do it, and it feels like a dream come true (have yet to start mornign practise....tomorrow). but there's not much lumbering about behind a computer, no clubbing and stuff...a lot of 'no' but I really really like it...
    I (so far) can't say I need a break....because I love the game so much...:D

The Downside...my legs are kinda still sore from last sunday: not much recovery with such a great/sadistic trainer:D:eek: and I like it...

only twice aweek but would play more if had the time/place/partners.

totals 5 hours per week--and I find this really keeps my weight down-i would love to play more so then I could eat more knowing it will come off at the badminton court

There is no meaning in weeping "I have no time".All persons in the globe have got only 24 hours in a day. The American President does many great things within the time. Will Smith does many things.Morten Frost had done lot of things within the time. You do little things and I do very little things within the time. All we get 60 minutes during an hour. Shortage of time means poor in time management.

I used to play 3 times a week. Once a week at nusa for 2 hours and twice for 3 hours with my school team.
I haven't played for some time now but I'll have everyday after SPM!!!

    I'd love to play 8 times a week :(

    At current I:

Play twice a week with the same friend. So far this academic year (i.e. starting september) the overall score is 78 games to 1, in my favour. Wish I had someone who was more of a challenge to play, preferably someone a fair bit better than myself so I could learn from them.

I play once a month at a club, the only time my sister can drive me there (there aren't any clubs *very* locally), and I rank first in singles consistently. Yet they refuse to let me join the senior club despite my respectable higher skill than the rest of the junior club players.

I also play on occasion, approx. once a month with each of two other friends I know, who prefer playing only that often really. One of them practises, one doesn't.

That's pretty much it; that and the fact I don't conform to all of their standards (e.g. they tell me how to hold a racquet, I agree with some of it, but some I strongly dis-agree with. Some is correct, some I really do think is wrong. For example telling me to hold the racquet's handle at the bottom by so much so that it's only being held by half my palm - so it's much harder to get power & control out of anyway!).

Other than that I'd play more often if I could, but I have few friends to get interested in badminton, and there are very few local clubs, especially few that there is transport to. (Family has no car and I have little money. My sister as I said gives me a lift when she can to the club.)

But well, I suppose if I really wanted I could get a job to fund my badminton expeditions, so I only have myself to blame.

I play about one a week for about 6 hours, normally. If there's some special open gym or something, then I'll probably go. I want to find some other placces closer to me because I don't feel like driving ten miles to bintang. I'm only fourteen for god's sake.
