Wow Chae Yu Jung playing so much better than she usually does. So many errors from Watagashi too.

Chae/Seo has been playing well this year
Watagashi is just too inconsistent nowadays
This is a pretty 1-sided game

Well, if seo sung jae win xd and md in today sf, then he’s legit top 5 xd and md… possibly the one able to take the throne as kim dong moon and lee yong dae’s heir

korean badminton often produce men or women very able to compete both md/xd or wd/xd also being in top 5.

Yuta has a really bad game.
It will be insane for SSJ if he won gold in MD and XD

He would be the greatest ever.
Not easy to win 2 disciplines in one edition.
Not sure if ZN achieved this before.

Yuta has the potential to play well in both MD and XD, but since his injury he hasn’t been consistent

Agree with this in the sense that with a World Championship or Olympic gold you were the best during the tournament, that's why you won it. Sometimes it's not the best player over the year but it's the player(s) who can bring their best when it counts, LD and LCW are outliers because it was a rivalry where both were consistently dominating MS.

LCW was unlucky that LD was almost always standing in his way. That's why there is so much respect on his name - even getting 3 silver medals puts him way above so many considering finals were against LD and Chen Long at the top of their game.

It's easy to say titles are everything but if you know anything about the story of the players then there is nuance to how they won them.

The only time apri didn’t smile is when preparing for smashing… other than that, 80% of the time always smiling.

    Can be a cringe situation

Coach eng hian told the ina’s pair during g1: “that’s it just put soft touch in front of the net, the opponent is not comfortable when you do that” (after the korean lift the shuttle long)
