I agree with you that it was too harsh. Probably communication and inexperienced played into it. I don't think the umpire would do the same to VA for example. I am a fan of LZJ, and happy to see a rising star in LSF. Just don't like a great match spoiled by a dubious decision.

Both SYQ and LSF lost here, not surprising since they must be exhausted

That's why it is so puzzling that they didn't withdraw, especially SYQ.

They both probably wanted to try it out and get some ranking points but dint SYQ made it back to top 10 this week? He might as well wait for asian champ when he’s more prepared

    LSF foot injury from AE.
I see many Asians players have foot injuries and have to remove their footwear for treatment but not many European players.

Is it due to the design of the footwear or their training or socks?

This tournament feels like an afterthought. Is victor here just cos he lost early in AE?

A side tournament for those who lost too soon in AE.

Most likely - It's a Super 300 event and most top players wouldn't even bat an eyelid to consider playing such a low ranking tournament.

    And your point is ???

Li Shifeng was already bothered by his left toe problem even before the AE semifinals with Anders Antonsen as Gillian Clark commentated then, and he had made two finals in consecutive weeks prior to coming here and clinched the AE title upon which most winners would skip the following week's lesser tournament for a well-earned rest, isn't it?

What a boring WD game..mal vs kor. Vivian would give loving smashes..which is no threat ..then she gets tired so she starts to lob .then she gets tired and do some short exchanges with some contribution from partner.. ultimately she hits net...repeat ..the Koreans don't even break a sweat

The outcome was obvious. MAS's smashes would not kill especially against the Koreans.
