Good opportunity for him. More experience of facing high-ranked opponents should make him realize what is needed to be a world beater.
Congratulation, Ng Tze Yong!! Beating reigning World Champion and reaching SF in Commonwealth Games! He is such a good player to watch and he will improving himself further after this. "He has everything: pace, speed, defence, attack. Perfect all rounder." - Gill Clark (paraphrase)
After covid setback, he’s really producing good results. Great improvement from the start of this year. The quiet destroyer strikes again. Really want to see this match.
He looks somewhat passive and not-confident but his badminton is getting more positive these days. And he is able to adapt well to strategy change. Good attitude.
If he is consistent with his intensity, it shd be good enough. More smashing and grind opponents. Now not skinny anymore, good muscles.
Another good match for Tze Yong. His fitness is simply superb and his shot quality is making a difference in G3. Lee Zii Jia's absence might had a huge impact in this young man's career.
His style reminds me of Cheah Soon Kit singles days before he joined nationals doubles. Good work in demolishing Sk in cg.
Cg22 ms final tips. Sen got nothing special to be frank. Just that he is fit. Need to play cautious game not to hit half court to allow him to smash. Must finish him in 2 games coz his stamina is good. Only kill him when the chance is clear. Else, energy wasted if he can return shots and counter attack.
I am rooting for NTY of course...but NTY's game has evolved into an aggressive attacking stance drastically during the CW games... ..I think, noting the obvious, LS will probably max out his good-defense based strategy and wear NTY out. also....LS has better top ten experience QUOTE="extremenanopowe, post: 2843757, member: 9442"]Cg22 ms final tips. the last meeting between NTY and LS was during SF match in 2022 India Open, LS was the victor that time... let's see how these both players gonna fair in Commonwealth Games Gold Medal match tonight...
Control vs staimina. I just want Tze Yong to play more aggresively this time instead of just rallying.
Yep. Just defending will not do the trick against Sen, who has an a reliable retrieval skill. Need to attack more and finish the game in straight game.
He is ok when he plays error prone players like sk and lky. Or 29yo above players with less stamina. Needs to buck up 30 percent still. Better do more rally drills.
Not impossible if he is disciplined enough to go thro the physical training. Good nutrition. . 1 to 2 yrs.
To be frank, I hope current generation MS players don't play like LCW. They all have different body type, attributes and talents. LZJ body type is very different from LCW, and he knows it. He has slower but longer reach and more powerful smashes. Same for NTY, who is taller, not as explosive and have a different demeanor on court. Looking at it objectively, yes LCW is a great and extremely talented player, the king of Super Series, but is not a World Champ/Asia Game/Olympic Gold Medalist in his 20+ years of career. Doesn't it shows that his way/style of play is not the best? It is entertaining to watch but the result speak for itself. One can argue that it's relatively easier to get a Gold Medal in the 3 biggest tournaments than to consistently topping in the super series, but doesn't it shine a worse light on LCW because both wasn't supposed to be mutually exclusive right? I always hoped that newer generations like NTY, Ginting, Axelson, Momota(haha) or anyone would strive to do better than LCW, not buying in into public's opinion that LCW and Lin Dan are one of a kind that cannot be topped.
