Lately they also lost a lot to the Indonesian pairs. - Thailand open 2022 defeated by alfian/ardianto - BAC 2022 lost to Kusumawardana/Rambitan - Swiss open 2022, lost again to alfian/ardianto IDK, is it because of soh wooi yik that hasn't returned to his best performance after recovering from covid-19 or other issues.
Well tbf,Indonesian MD are quite good generally and the loss rate is like probably 50%. But with Chinese and Japanese players it's almost like 80% at least from the matches I have seen. Chinese players don't even use any special tactics to win, they just target SWY non stop. Li/Liu have been doing this since the Olympic time and it seems that China coaches told all the other MD to do the same. Sent from my SM-A307GN using Tapatalk
Wow Minions won? How? didnt watch the match, hows Gideon movement? Surely surely if Fajri can beat LeeWang they ll win this title? Also 1st SS tournament for the CHN pair and straight SF.
furthermore changed another coach who make Soh Wooi Yik to change his playstyle, which may not work for him right now...
Petite Iris Wang can really run and getting a lot back a la Akane Y though not at the same level yet.
Ahhh watched the replay of Minions match Game 3, feels like its lack of experience of the MAS pair, the first 11 points is like nothingburger. How can you let Kevin fool you with his serves like what 3 times? And lots of really cheap points. Kevin is playing with a lot of risk and nothing to lose and MAS pair looks scared early in the decider.
Guys I wonder… does lee yang wang chilin ever affected when playing with slow shuttle? Feels like everytime wang chilin gets a good position for smashing, it’s like 80-90% guaranteed a point (or weak return for lee yang to finish at the net) anyway clever play from FajRi,,, varying the attack (smash/drop/half smash and placement), not only power power power
When they play like this, they really are the most enjoyable pair to watch.. its just that Rian serve is so frustrating, without his service errors this match will have been sealed.
