Such a fine and attacking MD pair, so refreshing to watch.

Pretty boring match tbh, but that's understandable since ahsan could barely move

Amazing tale of fikri/maulana, this is their debut in all england, managed to escape from behind in critical points and beat the seeds ( vs ong/teo, hoki/kobayashi and fernaldi/sukamuljo) .
Despite a one-sided play due to ahsan's injury, still it was a beautiful final between seniors and juniors, and that Ahsan's warm hug was really touching.
    Congratulations young guns.

Congratulations to Mohd Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana as they lift the All-England title in their debut in 2022!
Totally well deserved, having beaten WR 1, 2, 4, 11, and 21 en-route to the title, including 3 compatriot pairs despite being unseeded.

They need to prove their consistency and its equally tough for them in the Swiss Open 2022 next week, where I will expect the top-seed Daddies to withdraw because of Ahsan's injury. Leo/Daniel will likely get a reprieve and face a promoted pair (Joshua Magee/Paul Reynolds)/.

    Fikri/Bagas's Draw in Swiss Open:
R32 vs Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty [3] - a victory will further increase their confidence
R16 vs likely a rematch against Pramudya Kusumawardhana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan or Keiichiro Matsui/Yoshinori Takeuchi
QF vs either Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen [5] or Liu Yu Chen/Ou Xuan Yi
SF vs either Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin or Ren Xiang Yu/Tan Qiang or Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzudin [8]

Matsuyama/shida have been a revelation. They’ve always been good but were in the shadows of the other 2 pairs

One way traffic for the JPN pair, the CHN pair playing like amateurs in the final, their glaring weaknesses exposed.

The way Gillian Clarke dvelved deep into Higashino's place of birth , i thought she might even reveal her postal code and her phone number.

Higashino is playing so good. Watanabe is playing so bad. If Watanabe was playing good, Japan would be up 11-4 by now.
