please.... somebody. slap me. waiting for the press conference now. i am still shock. i think they totally deserved it though. they played their very best out there. a wholehearted congratulations to Howard and Tony !!
Wow, Howard's facial expressions after the match just said it all. Congrats to them for creating history and for reaching his badminton goal. Simply amazing. Now, is the next step gonna be seeing badminton in the NCAA????
tony was very humble to say that he was acclaimed good because of chandra, rexy etc This is the mark of a champion. He is indeed great.
Anyway, they deserve the victory also. Congratulations... Now should be the time to catch back some sleep, but it's already 730am... haha
in the interview, tony doesnt know whether he is great but he thanked his former mentor, christian hadinata as well as his former partners, halim and candra for making where he was and is and now, his young partner howard... great say... thr sm resentment in sigit, kinda half heartedly hugged candra post match??
Gratz to the US. Well. I guess it truly is better that the USA won because sparking an interest and causing more badminton players to arise and increasing the skill level of the current players is more important than having the oldies win hehe . The badminton community knows who the best players are anyway. As long as we expose others to the sport, it'll be good to get the name Taufik, Lin Dan and everyone else out there. I'll bet Google will notice a gigantic increase in people searching "badminton" or "world championships" the next few days lol. I just wished that googling badminton would bring BadmintonCentral as the first link lol and I also wished that googling badminton images would provide better ones than the ones we already have. Hmm. Maybe with the USA winning, Google searches of badminton will drastically improve. I dunno! Anything can happen!
yes! USA yeeeeeeeeeeees, USA won! congradurations from Marblehead gut n' feather badminton club and Marblehead badminton club, in MA, USA
Unbelievable!!!!!!!! USA WC 2005 Champs 15:11, 10:15, 15:11 Terimah Kasih Banyak (Thank You Very Much) Tony and Howard. THIS is the way badminton is played. Anthony Smith Georgia Tech Atlanta, GA
Too much defending :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: I'm going to hang myself. PM me if you like to stop me.
So with all that's happened (ie. comebacks, multiple partners, playing with a 'novice)...is there any possibility of naming Tony the best mens doubles player in the world ever?!
Hey Kwun. Maybe you and the gang should have made some signs saying badmintonCentral.com lol. I'm sure that would have brought some interest to the crowd. sorry I didn't think of it earlier.
Yes Tony well today but he also made some crucial unforced errors that coulda cost them. IMHO, I think Howard deserves some major props for hanging in there with the big boys and coming out as a great champion.
