That's exactly why they call these types of games "Upsets". ...and why there is home field advantage (jugah kampung, right?). As an American who grew up in Indonesia and has loved the game ever since, I would love to have the Americans win and it would be good for US Badminton, but unfortunately, I don't think it will do much to popularize the sport unless it's followed by other wins, especially outside the US. Anyway, a conspiracy of that size costs a lot of money and requires a lot of chatty people to keep their mouths closed. Let's just enjoy the games as they happen. Indo 10 : US 7, US first server
Chandra on defense is a treat. Sigit still struggling. Chandra has arrived with bag and baggage.......
9-14 usa serves..... tony/howard hs won all their matches in straight games, if this match goes to rubber, how will that affect them both physically and mentally is yet to be seen....
It's allright ,lol. The upsets may have been helped by drifty conditions inside the arena.Anyway let's not take ANYTHING away from the Americans and others who won. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Indonesians looking really good now. It's going to be uphill for the US pair from now.
so guys... you relize whats happen there? teenager play at the best place with an high willing.... well... good power, but less skill and expiriance...
Thanks for the great pics Sunzhi Keep them scores comin' for us poor sods who can't watch on TV :crying:
Yup, that's it for GD sports. But man, I must say I've been pleasantly surprised by the American's play. Howard's actually quite fast and has great endurance/stamina for a guy who has a body built for weightlifting. Plus he has quite a smash, with one reaching 303km/h I believe. Go USA, popularize our beloved sport in this land!!
