    Congratulations as well..

yah, i was surprised to hear that they won the match in relative ease in 2 straight sets against the Koreans...they must've had less pressure on them...should be interesting to see them play the Chinese XD pair, on such a big stage..

    Go go Gunawan/Bach.
US players in the final might make the news

    Commenting on MS....

We have the right 4 players at the right spot.

On their individual performance this is what I have to comment.

LD - below expectation so far. Have not been his usual self.

PG - very well. Stands a better chance against LD.

LCW - exceptionally well. The player whom the rest would prefer to avoid at this moment.

TH - not very well. He was not expected to struggle in those games and as such he should expect the worst tomorrow.

On paper, LD and TH are favourates to qualify for final based on their previous records. However, PG and LCW could create another upsets based on their current forms. I am hoping LCW will continue with his excellent speed and smash in SF and prove his ability to others.

For MD, all I hope is try not to see an all-Indo final. By reaching SF unexpectly is already a success for CCM/KKK. I hope they can put on excellent display again in SF although their opponents are no other than experienced and in-form 2001 WC champion. CCM and KKK should have nothing to lose in SF.

Malaysia, I will be with you!

I would like to watch them play in the final :
MS : Who play on the final will be fantastic, but I hope :
Taufik vs Lin Dan or Lee vs Peter
    WS : Cheng vs Zhang
MD : All Indo's final, but Gunawan/Bach or USA in the final will bring badminton into a very good future.
    XD : Widianto/Natsir vs Xie/Zhang

As an Indonesian, I hope that this is a moment for Indonesia to bring back 3 titles. I cross my fingers.

MD- I'd love to see a M'sia vs US final

MS-tough one anyone vs anyone is great. Probably the most emotionally charged one would be Taufik vs Lin Dan. Taufik has great thinking on court. Best for the game would be Peter vs Lee CW.

Mxd - anybody. All different nations is good for the game. NZ vs China = David vs Goliath. Good for the camera's and newspapers.

    LD - so what?:)

    LS - same as jkusmanto's pick:D

All right, I will hazzard my predictions.

    XD Shirley/Petersen(NZL) vs. Xie/Zhang(CHN) -- Winner Xie/Zhang
    XD Widianto/Natsir(INA) vs. Prapakamol/Thungthongkam(THA) -- Winner Prapakamol/Thungthongkam

    WD Yang/Zhang(CHN) vs. Gao/Huang(CHN) -- Winner Yang/Zhang (although I prefer Gao/Huang win)

WS Zhang(CHN) vs. XuHW(GER) -- Winner Zhang (Zhang is too strong and steady)
WS ChengSC(TPE) vs. Xie(CHN) -- Winner Xie (at least I want Xie to win, Cheng has done very well so far)

MD Chan/Koo(MAS) vs. Wijaya/Budiarto(INA) -- Winner Wijaya/Budiarto (although I want Chan/Koo to win and not have an all Indonesian final)
    MD Gunawan/Bach(USA) vs. Hadiyanto/Yulianto(INA) -- Winner Hadiyanto/Yulianto (although I want the Gunawan/Bach to win)

MS LeeCW(MAS) vs. THidayat(INA) -- Winner Lee (he is in form and won in the last meeting, Taufik did not look all that impressive)
MS LinDan(CHN) vs. Gade(DEN) -- Winner LinDan (Peter may give LinDan a hard fight)

    Lets be clear

I just hope I still have voice to shout "Malaysia Boleh" in semi after 1 day of hard work yesterday(QF). Imagine I had to go head to head against my China buddy's slogan "China Chia Yu", not an easy task but I have many Malaysians friends here + the flags to help up. The one that killed us is USA vs Denmark in MD, totally damaged our vocal. Today the Chinese and Malaysians will be friendly to one another as our players do not cross path ... Lets be clear, today our enemy is the Indonesians :D
    Malaysia Boleh!!!!

right now it's almost 9:30 am U.S. Pacific time
Taufik vs. LeeCW's match is slated to start around 1 pm(3.5 hrs. from now)
however, it could be further delayed..by at least 1 hr. to 1.5 hr. since they are using one court and taking turns playing..

3 hours 15 minutes according to the schedule, but most likely it will be late by an hour.

I completely agree. Having most of the top seeds out makes for a very boring match in terms of MD.
