That's harsh . He didn't say anything that's not true or not obvious. This Malaysian team has no star player, and/or someone with interesting play style, and /or entertaining character. India made a huge blunder, they can take a singles against most nations , and would've been interesting to see a QF that goes down to the wire. Would you rather watch a lopsided 3-0? If say Malaysia play Japan or even China (again) ? Last year they took TC/UC lightly by sending second stringers. This year the biggest blunder of all time. As far as the points logic is concerned it would've been more effective or relevant had they played SN instead of PVS to let SN gain more points for better seeding position in WC. For, SN if nothing she atleast have the experience, hunger and grit determination to go for every rally even when unfit. Sameer is just, a very uncharacteristic Indian player. UnLike most his game is a passive "balanced" type (it's no where near balanced though ) and in all his matches , he has never shown the "hunger" to win something. To me he's like SWH minus the precision and counterattack
Korea vs Taiwan is gonna be interesting. Besides WD (and to some extent WS, depending on TTY performance), the rest are quite unpredictable
I understand your point but don't compare SWH with SV. He is not even worthy to lace Son Wan Ho boots
" They can take singles against most nations " that phrase sounds overconfident to me. Listen, K. Srikanth is not like the likes of Lin Dan, Taufik Hidayat or Lee Chong Wei who can guarantee a point for their team. If India is in the same group with Indonesia, there are no guarantee that Srikanth can win against the likes of Ginting and Jonatan who are performing well lately
Cmon, India still have a slim chance to qualify and malaysia still have a slim chance to be knock out. shouldnt we let the players played their final group stage game first before bombarding them with comments as if they are already out of the tournament?
That's why the word 'can' if u read it carefully. Also "most nations", I don't suppose anybody would completely rule out the chances of even an "off colour" KS, well yes KM is his Kryptonite, agreed. But others say, the representatives from THA, ENG, INA, MAL, KOR even VA (he looked jaded) not sure about CTC didn't watch TPE vs HKG. I believe that's enough for the word "most".
Ofcourse he doesn't. I compared to him to SWH cause neither of them , imo ( no offence) , ever look "determined" enough , lacks the "winner instinct" or so to speak. Say, as compared to VA. I also said, minus the precision and counterattack. Without those abilities SWH is just another retriever, aka SV
Huge blunder in indian selection team who fielded Sameer today. They are wasting tax payers money. Is this too much to ask these dumb heads to think ? Why can't they know this basic thought? This is an important tie. If they lose, most probably , they are going home. How come they don't know about this?
Just to take a break from the usual intense heated argument of the top teams, and take a look at the erm, lower teams: Kazakhstan - Greenland: 4-1 WS Aisha Zhumabek - Sara Lindskov Jacobsen 23-21 13-21 18-21 0-1 0:46 Congrats to Greenland for scoring first ever point in Surdiman Cup
I wonder who will DEN field in MD against INA tomorrow.. kinda hope we can get to see Boe in action And which pair will INA field tomorrow, Ahsan/Hendra or Fajar/Rian.
What made you think that you had a better chance at against Malaysia. The mixed doubles favours Malaysia as well. You guys were lucky. Haha 55. Yeah right.
Ahh, Greenland, Denmark's second team, as Greenland is an autonomous Danish dependent territory with limited self-government.
I just think they might want the other pairs to play too so they can gain points from this tournament. Especially in group stages where the stake is still lower. Fajar/Rian might be their choice. But I could be wrong
No way. Satwik has just come to international tournaments after his injury. Still, he managed to win against that malaysian pair. Malaysia were lucky to proceed through .
