I was also of the same opinion that CL will demolish BSP but Sai played tremendously. You can watch it at hotstar. Full 40 mins highlights
Goes without saying, I'm sure he would want to make up for his R1 exit last week and gain as much ranking points as possible.
Awesome win by Sai. Didn't see that coming, that too in straight games! Thought he'd struggle in the game three, had it happened. Chen looked fitter of the two but too many unforced errors and he failed to read Sai's shots many a times. Tomorrow will be a bigger test for Sai.
Telecast coverage this tournament has been frustrating n disappointing Can’t locate the second WD currently played ... gosh I was SO looking forward to staying up to watch all the way including the second MD :’(
Whilst I appreciate any live stream, how come the (better quality) BWF stream isn't showing anything?
Langridge caught out defending too centrally quite a few times, smashes down the tram lines often winners.
FINAL (12.00pm) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/...37C55D-4533-47A9-AEE9-EE0F996F1F5B&d=20190317 BATTLE OF NEWCOMERS What a performance for promoted pairs Bay-Smidt/Soby to perform beyond expectation, beat more-favoured rival Lu K/Chen L in very tight battle, 20-22 / 21-19 / 23-21. The fast attacking Danish combination with good interception at the net really troubled the Chinese, a promising outlook for Denmark following Christinna Pedersen retirement from national team. Waiting in the final, Indonesia rookies 2017 World Junior Champions Rivaldy/Mentari who score excellent run here including stunned English favourites Ellis/Smith in quarters. The Indonesians deliver positive trend after graduated from junior years. Interesting fixture to see the underdogs appear in the finale, first meeting between rank #102 versus #19. THE RESURGENT KOREANS Seasoned campaigner Chang YN/Jung KE renew their chapter to strengthen Korean women's doubles squad among Japan domination. They often beat some top-ranked pairs in BWF circuit frequently, the Koreans smash Stoeva sisters who relying on superb defense but couldn't endure in second game, losing meekly 10-21. On the contrast fashion, Matsuyama/Shida involved in tiring match before eliminated Chinese counterparts Li WM/Zheng Y, 22-20 / 14-21 / 21-17 who shocked more-fancied compatriots Chen QC/Jia YF previously. Second Super 300 final for the young Japanese, they managed runner-up position, lost to Kim SY/Kong HY in Barcelona recently.. INDIAN SURPRISE Sai Praneeth denies All China finals in men's singles category to create big shock, tackling the Olympic Champion who controlled early stages well with his signature steady play and solid defense but after interval break of opening game, the Indian offers different pattern to counter attack Chen Long as the Chinese started to make uncharacteristic errors. In second game, more confident Praneeth still sticks to his game plan while Chen looked uncomfortable and didn't change anything instead of doing routine rallies, flat footed several times by his opponent. Earlier of the day, Shi Yuqi continues his winning record over Anthony Ginting, 6-0. It's like an exhibition showcase, very one-sided as Ginting movement seemed hampered by his right ankle injury and lost 9-21. Things going more interesting in post interval break of second game, 5-11 then 7-14 Ginting begins to construct attacking mode constantly, standing at mid-court area to play flat drive and it worked but it's too late comeback as Shi was unfazed with his rival catching up to seal the match at the end, 21-17. YUFEI ONCE MORE Chen Yufei keeps her momentum to win back to back title in BWF World Tour, stamped authority over Sung Ji Hyun, 21-14 / 21-15. Current world number two shows her consistency and improvement so far, staying calm and focus, leaving the Korean frustrated and couldn't did too much to stem Chen blistering move. Chen will find Japan B challenger, Saena Kawakami to top podium here. Kawakami edges out the experienced Zhang Beiwen, 21-19 / 21-17 despite had bad start in opening game. The potential Japanese seized attention when grabbed first ever GP Gold title in New Zealand Open 2015, she was just 17 years old at that time. Both of them had met once in China Masters 2017 where the Chinese losing three games. LATEST DUO THREAT TPE new lethal combination storm to final once again after Spain Masters last month, they beat couple of prominent pairs at last two rounds, Ahsan/Setiawan and Kim GJ/Lee YD and will take on Alfian/Ardianto who beat English pair Ellis/Langridge straight-foward yesterday. The Indonesian hotshots are expected to soar high and secure Tokyo 2020 ticket alongside with Gideon/Sukamuljo. Having modest performance in this year with All England semifinal highlight, they're favoured to clinch the crown this evening but should be wary of the darkhorses Lee/Wang.
Nice! Rinov/Pitha sealed G2. Watching their play, they certainly have potential. In the last few points, Rinov used deception to fool the opponents. Also, it's nice to see Herry IP coaching them.
Too bad. Rinov/Pitha failed to win the title. They still need to work on their errors, especially Pitha.
