Not looking good.... but then again, i am not that skilled and I only play recreationally once a week. I ordered 4UG5 so it should be ok right?
Bro, relax. It is just my feeling. Maybe you would have a different perception. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This racket i don't think as head heavy and stiff like zforce 2 3U, which lin dan use . And i don't think lin dan will use either.
I have gotten my Astrox 99 yesterday which was something I am very happy about, but also sadly I have lost my Samsung A8 yesterday. Tried many different forms of tracking but I think it's gone for good. As soon as I got the Astrox 99 I went to a Recreational Centre to try it out. Now, it ALWAYS takes time to get used to a racquet, so I would say my review isn't as "good" as it should be since I played with it for only 1 day. Here are my racquet and stringing specs- Astrox 99 3UG4 , Factory Grip, BG 66 Ultimax at 27 LBS. Smashes- All the steep attack nonsense. I didn't feel any difference in smashes by using the Astrox 99, only thing I would say is though the control on your smashes are incredible. It's something I definitely didn't have when I used Duora Z Strike with same stringing specs. Steep Smashes? No, its all on you. The racquet doesn't make it steeper if you don't know how to smash. But will help you gain speed and control. Drives- Okay okay. Yonex. Stop. With this racquet came the most amazing drives. Incredibly fast barely over the net. I feel like this racquet defines the definition of 'Drives' in badminton. Clears- Crisp. But I got the same feeling as I had with Voltric Z Force II. But with Voltric Z Force II, my clears would go out 10% of the time. But with this, it's always on the line as if I could somehow make the birdie land right on the line. Serves- Welp, everything is normal here... Control- Incredible. Backhand clears, smashes, everything is so controlled here. I love it. Overall I would rather stay with the Duora Z Strike or Arcsaber 11 because it fits my style more since it's a hard racquet to get used to. But my mind will probably change within 2 weeks after I really do get used to it.
I know right? I was watching and found myself wondering if these guys ever say anything negative in their reviews (whether it is AX99 or any other rackets they reviewed).
Their reviews are garbage and clearly marketing more than anything. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Sure thing. You can never expect an objective (or even negative) review from a shop selling the racket or a sponsored player/individual. It's like going to the Apple website and watching their presentation of their products.
With the 88D and 88S at least there was a relative point of reference, on top of their sales pitch. For the 99, there wasnt any info info we can extract from the video. Lets wait for Paul to review it yeah.
I was lucky enough to met a friend who just bought an AX99 and managed to try it. Though it was not my setup, it was strung with UM at 25lbs 4UG5 and original grip. I am a DZS 3UG5 user at 26lbs Bg80. First racket impression, heavy. No joke. Even it's a 4u, you can felt the head heaviness more so than my vtzf1 3u. I'm not gonna review it but after aroubd 10 minutes of high clear, drop, back hand and smashes I can felt soreness in my forearm muscle. Imo definitely not suitable for men's double. I was hyped to get this ax99 but after today, not anymore.
Disagree, although I have yet to test at court, but no way in hell AX99 4u is more head heavier than a 3u ZF1, not even reach the head weight of 3u ZF2.
If you have the head weights of ZF1, ZF2, and AX99, please tell us. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk
And these? In all fairness they're all gripped with 402DX and have BGAS at 28lbs so the data is still sort of relevant. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
