HS Prannoy was forced to play even though he was injured to fulfil BWF rules.

Me, Nine Tailed Fox & Shreyas666 have known each other for a good bit off the forum now. We play together every week or whenever we get time :)

HS Prannoy got a bit of criticism for blaming his foot condition on a doctor's negligence. Wonder if what really happened. Maybe he's just frustrated .

I was honestly very happy to have been right there to cheer our fellow BC'er Prannoy on but yes after his performance, there was ALOT of criticism from the audience on how he tanked the match to give other guy points even during the Saina match.

Then Sindhu came on and everyone forgot about it hah.

In that case, I feel Prannoy should've just retired after a few points played instead of acting out a farce. Didn't Nozomi Okuhara stepped on court just to play one point and quit ? And, if I remember correctly, she did it twice in two tournaments.

Yes. I think a retirement would have been better

As usual, the official BWF Youtube starting from QF.

For today you could watch it through:

    Court 1

    Court 2

She did not retire against Japanese players whereas Prannoy had to play fully in order to get points since he played his compatriot

The points he got from the first round exit were useless for him.

He's had 4 tournaments result ended with 2220 and none of those points are used for his ranking.

Indian unseeded pair with a 17 year old defeated 3rd seeds from Malaysia. I did not expect this.

Satwik and ashwini really got lucky there!!! They wasted four match points before squandering fifth!

What he needs is not the points I believe, but the obligation to fulfill 12 tournaments
This is a flaw in BWF rules
I put the blame on BWF instead of Prannoy
