What a stupid way for WSX to lose the match, gifting two points, red-carded to lose another a a crucial time in the decider. An evenly, beautifully fought titanic battle that could have gone either way, but in the end marred by WSX's costly mistakes.

It's interesting. All the finalists are
    1) There is no 1st seed
    2) There is no 2nd seed
    3) There is one 3rd seed
    4) No 4th seeds
All other seeds are 5 and above.
Importantly there is an unseeded MD pair as well

In my opinion, WSX has the edge in the decider and should have won the match.

From this match, I'm more convinced now that Li Xuerui is still the best WS in the world now.

I have no nails left! Can't believe how much reserve NO has to comeback in the 3rd from trailing nearly the entire 3rd game, incredible!

that red card point at 17-17 was absolutely crucial to the match outcome. it completely turned the tide. as u said, it was stupid.

I really want Russians to win. This should be their first of any category irrespective of time

It hardly "completely turned the tide," Okuhara had already come back from below and it could've gone either way. It certainly gave Okuhara an edge though. I do agree it was stupid by WSX to further provoke the umpire, though.

He is an accomplished singles player as well and quite a star in the IBL so I think it wouldn't be a problem for him

i still remember the first time i saw Nozomi played. it was 2012 World Junior Championship.

    she lost against Sun Yu.

but now she is able to beat WSX in the All England final.

WSX is il-fated, losing the final of the AE like this is bad enough, I really hope she doesn't fail to qualify for Rio due to some unlucky event or unforeseen circumstances.
