    Just one more point :crying:[/QUOTE]

Singapore lost to a better team 2-3. Despite taking an impressive 2-0 lead through our XD and MS, Singapore was no match for Japan in the last three ties. In the MS, Ronald Susilo stamped his superiority over Sato in two straight games.

Our MD proved to be the weakest link and Kendrick was all at sea in his relative new partnership with Wijaya. Maybe he was too used to playing singles and as a result he was rather 'slow' on court and did not display enough of concentration. Against a Japanese pair who has been playing together for a record number of years and is now coached by the great Park Joo Bong, this is suicidal. The Japanese pair was impressive and literally made mince meat of our pari.

Jiang Yanmei did well in her new partnership with Saputra in the XD to give Singapore the first point. But that match proved to be quite taxing for her and playing with another new partner, Frances Liu, in the deciding WD, this proved to be disastrous. Her usual partner, Li Youjia, is not a citizen yet but would have made a great difference if she was fielded.

In the WS, Li Li was completely outclassed by the young and strong Enrico. It must have been Li Li's first encounter with her as all of Li's lifts were left with no mercy and the match lasted very short at 11-1 to the Japanese. Li Li employed a different tactic in the second game by keeping the shuttle low whenever possible and gained a more respectable score of 11-7.

So Singapore ranks second after Japan in this Group 2 and I suppose she will not be able to be one of the top eight teams for yet another Sudirman Cup. :crying: :crying: :crying:

WCH, a renowned fast starter is letting Palyama hang around. He'd better step on the gas or he might run out of it. A victory for the Dutch in the MS could be a huge confidence booster for the rest of the team.

It will be intereting to see how far Wong MC has progressed in the next match. Yao Jie is a good barometer. Wong has always given the top shuttlers a run for the money.

Malaysia has done the most difficult part by winning the mixed doubles match.

But still, Wong CH needs to secure the MS, he is losing 10-13 in the second game...

    And 15-13 WCH 2nd ...
Wonder why they didn't play Hafiz who seems to give him more problems normally.

Wong Choong Hann finally won 15-8 15-13.
I think the tie can be considered already won by Malaysia, as I can't imagine any second Netherlands taking the MD! ;)

Yeah, actually the hard part is already over for Malaysia. The MD is Holland's weakest point. Furthermore, Malaysia are not pushovers in WS and WD.

    * rolls eyes* ... lately, WCH has found ways to make his matches unnecessarily exciting. Enough of the drama.

Wong doesn't have her name at the back of her shirt, isn't that against the rules? her shirt only has MALAYSIA.

    You should have!!! :p
Kelly Morgan and Richard Vaughan are very good players (both have been in the top 10) who featured in Athens Olympics.
Both of them are missing in the team, this is why Wales are so weak this year.
